Adorei a minha estadia na Spicy Villa. Desde o momento em que cheguei, senti-me super bem-vindo de imediato e fui tratado como parte da família por todos. Meu trabalho basicamente consistia em pintar, limpar e cozinhar, com bastante tempo para relaxar e aproveitar a bela paisagem ao redor da vila. Todas as minhas refeições foram INCRÍVEIS; estou saindo da experiência com a barriga cheia e muitas receitas que vou usar em casa. A cachoeira próxima é linda; também tive a chance de ver os elefantes e fiz uma caminhada incrível que nunca esquecerei. Estou realmente agradecido por ter sido incluído em uma experiência tão maravilhosa, só posso recomendar!

I want to say a huge “Thank you” to Sama, Ho, Pon an her family to have made me felt so welcomed during my stay at Spicy Villa!✨I really treasure these memories.the lodge is immaculate and the view from the balcony overlooks a spectacular waterfall flowing in all her grandiosity! Ho speaks English very well and he's an excellent chef! He taught me some delicious Thai dishes! We visited the lodge villages and the elephant sanctuary nearby! The tasks were cleaning bungalows, painting, gardening, cooking but also having time to rest and enjoy the beauty all around! Coco has my heart! Thank you🫶

Nossa estadia de uma semana foi boa. Nossa tarefa principal foi pintar os novos bungalows; para fazer isso, nosso horário era das 9h às 12h e das 14h às 16h. Às vezes ajudávamos a limpar os pratos dos hóspedes que ficavam lá para dormir. Esperávamos mais interação com as pessoas que moram lá, mas por questões de idioma a comunicação ficava um pouco complicada. Esperávamos poder ajudar na cozinha para aprender um pouco das tradições culinárias, mas isso não aconteceu. No entanto, a comida estava muito saborosa. As pessoas que moram lá foram muito gentis conosco.

Tive uma experiência incrível na Villa. Muito obrigado por me receber na sua família. No começo foi meio solitário porque eu era o único voluntário e os anfitriões não falam inglês, então foi difícil entender o que eu precisava fazer e como eu poderia ajudá-los. Vamos dizer que, às vezes, me senti desamparado. A propósito, são pessoas tão boas e realmente cuidaram de mim. Pon (desculpe se escrevi errado) é uma mulher muito forte e, mesmo que não tenhamos conversado muito, foi especial passar tempo com ela. A villa ficará para sempre no meu coração!

I did lots of different things, which made the experience very interesting. For instance, I helped cooking, cleaning, helping out in the farm and even in the rice field. Even though Por did not speak much English, she still was a great mentor and was always looking out for me. At times it did get a little “lonely” because I was the only volunteer, there were no guests, and Por didn't speak English. But this was a special occasion (Samart is usually around), and it is low season too. But besides that I really recommend it! If you do go during the low season just keep that in mind ;)

I was the only volunteer there at that moment but they were so kind and such a nice hosts! It was hard sometimes the communication (they barely speak English) but we try our best and Google translator was a nice helper. They are 5 min walking from a waterfall and they let me helped them cooking too! It was such a nice experience

We loved our time here at Spicy Villa :) Bandito is lovely and his English is great so communication wasn't an issue. His wife speaks very little English, but she cooks great food and we were able to talk using google translate. It was quiet when we were here, and the only other girl was a solo traveller who left early with us as otherwise she would've been by herself, so it might be worth asking if other volunteers will be there at the same time, as you do have quite a lot of free time which might be hard by yourself. The wifi also was not working when we were here. We ❤️ spicy villa.

It was a wonderful immersive experience in the lodge. The food is very delicious, and you get to learn how to cook traditional dishes. The working hours are not heavy, and I am very grateful for the experience.💓
