Não gostaria de falar nada sobre esse lugar. Nunca pensei que passaria por uma situação tão desagradável. Antes de Tirana eu tive boas experiências com hóspedes de diversas nacionalidades mesmo não sendo fluente em inglês. Fui honesta e transparente, pedi paciência e precisava de pelo menos um pouco de educação, coisas que este anfitrião claramente não possui. Homem grosseiro, sem paciência, nada hospitaleiro e na minha opinião, falta respeito com seus voluntários. Minha saúde, estabilidade emocional e minha experiência como viajante vale mais do que cama e comida. Fui embora, agora estou bem.

Our requirement is intermediate, not perfect, English. We accept limited English only if volunteers can understand instructions and respond at a basic level. Rebeca's messages gave us the impression she met this requirement. On arrival, she had virtually no functional English; her messages appeared to have been translated. We treated her kindly and never asked her to leave. When we calmly raised the issue, she reacted strongly and chose to leave, although we were willing to discuss alternatives.

I had a great time at this hostel and met some amazing volunteers and travellers. I believe the communication with staff could've been a little better as I did not get the time off I was expecting but I understood with unforeseen circumstances there was need to adapt. Claas was helpful and only a phone call away. The hostel had a very cosy vibe and you would feel at home very quickly.

I had a great experience in this hostel, I would definitely recommend it! You will meet a lots of amazing travellers, make great memories and improve your English. The working hours are clearly set, 3 days off are amazing and enough… Claas is really cool guy, always positive, always helpful… everything was well organised. :)

It is a nice place to share with people from different countries, both the volunteers and the guests were very friendly, which allowed me to have excellent conversations and share very pleasant moments, the host is very flexible with the schedules and the days off were enough to see more places around the hostel

It was a lovely experience! Tirana is an amazing place to be. The hostel is close to everything, and there are plenty of things to do around the area. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it.

Although I ended up at a different hostel than the one I originally applied to (under the same host), my experience at Rooftop the hostel was excellent. Claas and Chris were welcoming, supportive & flexible throughout my stay. Work is divided into morning, afternoon, and night shifts, with different but clear responsibilities each - morning is the more workful, for sure. Food is provided through a nicely ingredient cabinet. The rooftop offers great views over the city, especially during the BBQs that bring together volunteers and guests.

Thank you Miguel. Yes, it can happen that we ask volunteers to switch to our other hostel. That is only if someone cancels or doesn't show up. But of course it's the choice of the volunteers to agree or not. Both is fine👊. So thank you for the help and your contributions. You are a great person. See you again 👌🍪👊

Fue una experiencia muy linda , hice muchos amigos y el trato y el lugar estuvieron muy geniales , el anfitrión siempre dispuesto a ayudar y todo el staff buenos amigos , lo recomiendo para conocer tirana está súper céntrico y las actividades son tranquilas y faciles sin duda el mejor voluntariado
