My time at the organization was absolutely incredible! The host and staff were wonderful and very accommodating, they're the reason that my experience was so easy and comfortable. Although, I'd say the best aspect of this foundation is the school kids and the meaningful relationship you build with them. 190 friendly and energetic children eager to speak and learn from you is truly heartwarming and it's what I loved the most. the organization is phenomenal and I would love to visit this foundation again!

This experience is truly life-changing for so many reasons. It gives you the opportunity to experience firsthand a reality that is very different from what we are used to, and it puts you face-to-face with real needs. It gives you the opportunity to do something concrete to make a difference. One thing I would definitely say is that this is a reality that needs a lot, but above all, it needs people who are willing to get involved, be creative, and bring joy. I would strongly recommend bring simple school & creative supplies: pencils, erasers, modeling clay, sharpeners, red pens, notebooks etc.

Gaia was one of the best volunteers we have had. She was kind, easy to be around, and genuinely committed to supporting the children. Through her donation, we were able to complete the Special Needs Room, which has made a meaningful difference for the children.

Life changing experience. The children are amazing, but their most urgent needs are food, clothes, shoes, school supplies, and Bibles. During my stay, I saw children eating mainly corn flour mixed with water, and some cried from hunger. In my opinion, meeting these basic needs should come before expansion projects. If you donate, consider bringing essential supplies or make sure your money directly benefits the children. They should always be the priority. Future volunteers should consider buying supplies in Nairobi before travelling, as this can provide more direct support to the children.

A short stay cannot show the full picture of our challenges or the work being done behind the scenes. Personal items are unrelated to organisational funds.
Honestly, in all my years of hosting volunteers, your stay has been the most difficult and disappointing. The children remain our priority, and I wish you well.

This experience was one of the best things I've ever done! Andrew is a fantastic host, always available and ready to help with any questions! All the staff are extremely kind, the school hosts about 190 children and being with them and helping them was truly emotional! The other volunteers were all kind, and it was wonderful to meet people from other countries and exchange opinions and thoughts. I recommend this experience to anyone. the organization has become a second family to me; there's no better place in the organization to have this kind of experience. Asante sana!❤️

C'était une superbe expérience dans cette école ! Nous devions terminer de construire le « playground » mais celui ci était déjà fini. On a donc eu d'autres missions avec les enfants ou les réseaux sociaux. Un petit plus aurait été de communiquer sur ce qui était attendu dans ces taches. Il faut faire preuve d'initiative mais une fois lancé c'était super ! Merci aux volontaires sur place qui nous ont bien guidé au début du séjour ! Les enfants sont adorables et toujours très reconnaissants de ce qu'on leur apporte ! N'hésitez pas à venir !

Andrew is a spectacular host. Even when he was missing a few days due to force majeure, his presence was felt. I have never lacked anything. He is very open to initiatives, projects, proactive dialogue. the organization team is super helpful and welcoming, they welcomed me and integrated me into the school straight away. I left a piece of my heart in this school, I hope to be able to relive this experience in the future

My time volunteering at a local school in the organization was a very meaningful and enriching experience. I was warmly welcomed by the staff and students, which immediately made me feel part of the community. The most memorable part was connecting with the children and experiencing their openness and curiosity. Overall, I am very grateful for this opportunity and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a genuine cultural exchange and impactful volunteering experience.

I felt very comfortable and welcomed at Andrew's place. He cares about all visitors, wants them to feel good and safe at all time. During my 4 weeks stay a whole new building was build thanks to funds. Among other things, the room will contain a special needs room, so children with special needs can learn in a quiet environment from time to time. I worked with the children with special needs and created a first structure/ framework to integrate them in education. The special needs room is supposed to meet their needs by teaching them with special material and giving them extra time.

First of all: I had a great time working here! Food was amazing, rooms where good and the atmosphere chill! Andrew has a lot responsibilities and tries his best to make you feel appreciated. Just so you're not surprised, the job you'll do may differ from the description. I applied to take care of the animals but due to a language barrier and some miscommunication I couldn't really help the guy so much that normally takes care of them. I only contributed some ideas. Instead of that I did some classes for the girls, teaching them about Menstruation and health and played with the kids.
