Minimum 2-month commitment, with potential to extend. Join us in empowering underserved communities!

Atividades & Turnos

Activities:

As a volunteer live-in tutor, you will work with 2 students: refugee student from Myanmar and indigenous student from Malaysia,

This role goes beyond academics—tutors are encouraged to connect with students outside of classroom hours, building trust and confidence through informal activities like conversations, shared meals, or cultural exchanges. As a role model, particularly for the young girls, we seek a female tutor who demonstrates responsible behavior, maintains moderate alcohol consumption, and refrains from partying.

The position offers free accommodation and basic breakfast. You’ll also have opportunities to support other hostel-led educational and cultural workshops.

Regras

Tutors live in a shared dorm with two teenage student girls, so an advised curfew of no later than 11 PM is in place to maintain a respectful and supportive environment. While tutors are only required to volunteer 5 hours a day, 6 days a week, they are encouraged to spend additional time with the students outside of these hours (snorkeling, sunset walks at the beach etc). This informal interaction helps build stronger connections, fosters trust, and allows tutors to serve as positive role models for their students.
