Tive uma experiência maravilhosa com a Girls Can Lead. Cheguei preparado(a) com o programa e as atividades, mas ter Jay comigo foi essencial para adaptar tudo no terreno e criar um ambiente dinâmico com as meninas. Realmente gostei de me conectar com elas e achei as duas semanas muito gratificantes. A acomodação foi mais desafiadora para mim, então decidi me mudar para outro local depois. Compartilhei esse feedback com a organização, e eles estavam muito abertos a isso e considerarão melhorias para voluntários futuros.

As crianças são maravilhosas de estar por perto e estão muito ávidas para aprender. Elas ficam genuinamente felizes quando alguém vem passar tempo com elas. A maioria das crianças não tem caneta para escrever. Se possível, seria incrível se você pudesse trazer canetas 🖊️ ou cadernos de exercícios vazios que você não precisa mais. É uma causa significativa, mas se beneficiaria de uma organização e comunicação mais fortes. Daqui para frente, poderia ser útil que o organizador esteja mais ativamente envolvido com a escola. Me and my sister had an amazing time in this volunteer. We stayed with a local family there which totally made the difference. They were lovely and attentive at all times. At the school, you can organize your schedule and help in any way! We did some lessons and also decoration for the classrooms. The staff at the school was kind and welcoming. Truly recommendable experience if you like kids and want to live the authentic Gambian life. And thanks to Ebrima for arranging it all. See you again!🥰

It was a very rewarding experience. Totally immersed in the local culture. The family welcomed me as one of their own and were attentive to me and my needs at all times. They made my experience truly unforgettable. About the stay at the school, the teachers and the children were always very friendly and I had a great time with them. We also did a workshop for the girls in the community which was wonderful. I sincerely recommend the organization Experience as they da lot of social impact work. I am very happy to have had the opportunity to do this volunteer work and to have been a part of it.
