Termino meu voluntariado em Santa Catalina com o coração contente. Cheguei com muitas expectativas e todas foram superadas; ainda saio com uma família. Obrigado aos meus anfitriões por me fazerem sentir tão à vontade, pela confiança, pelas conversas e pela boa energia de todos os dias. Conectamos de uma forma especial e isso fez com que minha estadia fosse muito agradável.
Santa Catalina me deu tranquilidade, mar e, acima de tudo, tempo para me conectar comigo mesma. Vou embora grata e com vontade de voltar.
Recomendo 100% a quem procure uma experiência tranquila e com boa vibração!

Muito obrigado! Foi uma experiência incrível! Thomas, Iris, Tayler e Helena, vocês são pessoas incríveis! Gostamos muito do nosso voluntariado. Fizemos pizza, uma nova casa para galinhas, conhecemos seus ótimos amigos e fizemos parte da família deles. O albergue tinha tudo de que precisávamos, uma ótima cozinha, muita fruta fresca e muitas bananas, camas confortáveis e um banheiro. Que lugar maravilhoso ❤️❤️❤️

I had the most amazing stay with Iris and Thomas! Working in their restaurant in the evenings was such a great experience. I really enjoyed making pizzas and being part of the team. It also gave me the perfect balance, since I had time during the day to relax at the beach and explore Santa Catalina. I met so many lovely people during my stay, and their son Tyler even taught me how to surf, which was such a highlight! Iris and Thomas made me feel like part of the family, and I truly feel like I've made friends for life here. I can't wait to come back the next chance I get!

The month I spent there was a very enriching experience! Working at the pizzeria was fun and I gained quite a few cooking skills! Iris and Thomas were super nice and understanding which made my stay enjoyable! Even though it was a pretty calm month (July), the weather was pretty nice and the people I met were all truly amazing! I would definitely come back if I had the chance to!

So this was probably my favorite volunteering I've done yet. The hosts are the most lovely people you'll ever meet and speak both Spanish and English. Don't be afraid to ask, they're always ready to help:) In low season (about May to October), be aware that there are not many hostel guests or tourists in Santa Catalina. On the other hand, this gave me an opportunity to get to know a bunch of locals, practise my Spanish and enjoy the stunning nature without the crowds. I'm already missing the whole pizzeria team and hope to see you again in the future!♥️ Graciaaas!

Volunteering at the hostel in Panama was a truly special experience for me. The place is beautiful, and I immediately felt at home thanks to the incredible hosts, Thomas and Iris. They treated me like family, and I'm so grateful for their warmth and generosity. I learned how to make delicious pizza, and even though it was low season and things were a bit quiet, I still had a lot of fun and picked up some valuable skills. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the surrounding nature made it all even more magical. I'm really thankful for the time I spent there. see u! ❤️

Mi experiencia en el hostel Hostal fue muy enriquecedora. El lugar está rodeado de naturaleza, ideal para descansar y desconectar, sobre todo en temporada baja cuando el pueblo está muy tranquilo. Las tareas dwl voluntariado fueron sencillas. Iris y Thomas fueron muy buenos anfitriones. Iris cocina delicioso, sus pizzas son espectaculares y siempre se tomaron el tiempo para asegurarse de que estuviera cómoda. Me alegra mucho haber compartido tiempo ahí, fue una experiencia cálida y auténtica. ¡Lo recomiendo muchísimo!

I had an amazing time volunteering with Iris and Thomas. They are both incredibly kind and caring, which made me feel very welcome and comfortable. The whole experience was enriching, and I learned a lot about cooking and improved my spanish. If you have the chance to volunteer with them, I highly recommend it – it's a truly rewarding experience!🙈

My volunteer experience in Thomas & Iris hostel was truly amazing! They are both super kind, openminded people with a lot of life experience who together are a great team and incredible hosts! I loved working together with Iris around the hostel and learning new cooking recipes from her (she cooks super delicious and makes great pizzas!). I enjoyed my time in Santa Catalina so much, I felt welcome here right from the beginning and I'm happy to have found a place that feels like home.☺️ I'll really miss this hostel and the people and I'm glad that I had this wonderful experience here!
