At Macaw Recovery Network, our Habitat Volunteer Program offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the recovery of the Critically Endangered Great Green Macaw by restoring and protecting the rainforest it depends on to survive.
As a volunteer, you'll work alongside our conservation team, participating in native tree planting, forest restoration, biodiversity monitoring, trail maintenance, nursery work, and habitat management. Every task you complete contributes to creating healthier forests for wildlife and future generations.
This is more than a volunteer opportunity—it's a chance to immerse yourself in nature, gain practical conservation experience, meet people from around the world, and make a real, lasting impact while living in the heart of Costa Rica's rainforest.
As a volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to:
🌱 Restore tropical rainforest
🦜 Monitor Great Green Macaws and their nesting sites
🌳 Support native tree planting and habitat restoration
🐾 Participate in biodiversity monitoring
🤝 Work alongside a passionate conservation team
🌎 Experience life in the heart of Costa Rica's rainforest
