Es war ein Privileg, solch wirklich motivierte junge Menschen dabei zu unterstützen, Englisch zu lernen und zu üben, so motiviert, zwei oder drei Sprachen zu sprechen. Die Schule war eine großartige Erfahrung und das Personal war offen und freundlich und es war schön, mit ihnen zu arbeiten, ich bin sehr dankbar für meine Erfahrungen. Ich konnte mir selbst Zugang zum Sprachenlernen verschaffen.

Helen war eine wunderbare Freiwillige an der The English School Kelaa. Sie half bei unseren Englischkursen und brachte den Schülerinnen und Schülern viel Energie, Enthusiasmus und Positivität. Wir schätzen wirklich ihre Zeit, Unterstützung und ihren Beitrag. Vielen Dank, Helen!

Mein Aufenthalt war unglaublich, dank der wunderbaren Beziehung, die ich zu einem anderen Freiwilligen und zu den sehr netten Studenten hatte; das gefällt mir sehr. Abdel war sehr aufmerksam vom Moment an, als wir vor meiner Ankunft telefonierten und sichergestellt haben, dass es mir gut geht. Allerdings denke ich, dass der Aufenthalt im Haus des Freiwilligen durch Kommunikation verbessert werden könnte. Zum Beispiel wurde mir nie die Regeln erklärt, wie dass ich auch für grundlegende Dinge wie Papiertücher, Wasser, Waschmittel bezahlen musste, und es gibt kein WLAN im Haus :/ ehrlich gesagt war das unangenehm, weil das so grundlegend ist… Ich habe wie ein Einheimischer gelebt, auf dem Souk eingekauft und ein Hammam besucht.

Diese Reise nach Beni Mellal war eine außergewöhnliche menschliche Erfahrung, zutiefst bewegend. Hier habe ich wirklich verstanden, wonach ich suchte: die Realität zu sehen, manchmal das Elend, aber vor allem die Schönheit der Einfachheit. Die Schule ist ein unglaublicher Ort. Die Kinder sind neugierig, lächelnd, voller Leben, und die Französischlehrer sind wohlwollend, geduldig und sehr offen. Auch mit einem unvollkommenen Französisch gelingt es uns, eine Verbindung herzustellen. Ein Lächeln, eine Geste, eine aufrichtige Absicht sind manchmal mehr wert als Worte.

My 4 weeks at the the school in Beni Mellal was such an incredible experience. I was welcomed with open arms by Khalid, Luke and Abdel. Shout out Khalid, my main point of contact, who made my stay as comfotable as possible and show me the authentic Moroccan way of life. Weekend trips into the mountains, traditional (delicious) food and the opportunity to connect with the locals and students. Huge thank you Abdel for all your help, Luke for the early morning adventures to the Ain and intense card games and to my amazing roomates, Moruya, Wam, Ally & Kaitlyn, never change. Love you all <3

It was an amazing experience. our task were social media and teaching italian. The hours were respected and you can't do more than 15h/week. We lived in a shared apartament with other volunteers. There was once a week couscous offered from the the school and some trips around, big thanks to Said I felt sick and i needed to leave before and we found an agreement. I recommend. The only problem i personally had was having no wifi in the apartment and no hot water for the shower, the rest was all good, people in kelaa (the city) and in the the school are super welcoming and i hope one day to come back

This was a phenomenal experience from start to finish. Abdel is cool and open minded to ideas about the the school and media. I was able to meet people and create strong bonds with them. It's experiences like this one that strengthen my belief in God because a lot happened that I didn't expect and those surprises were for the better. I would recommend 100%

The the school is the organization most dedicated to promoting the wellbeing of their students that I have seen on worldpackers. Even if it is a for profit institution, Abdel and Luke are dedicated to the wellbeing of the community and trying to provide an opportunity to improve their lives and as well as provide cultural exchange between the students and the volunteers. They are attentive to the needs and wellbeing of the volunteers and always ready for feedback. Stanshkl Hwa!

Abdel and Luke were very attentive and helpful. I felt respected and cared for as if I were one of the family. Every Sunday was adventure day and we visited many local waterfalls, rivers and bonded in local natural settings. I felt welcomed by all the people I met in Kelaa and would love to return to send time with my new friends. I made great friendships with the other volunteers and hope to meet up with them in the future.

If you are looking for a cultural experience supported by a group of dedicated professionals, I suggest you consider volunteering with Abdel and his team. I taught 9 - 19 yo students English at one of their schools, located in Attaouia, a small town 1h East of Marrakech. I taught 1-1 lessons for 3 hr/day average. I stayed at an apt 3 mins walk from the the school. Meals were not included. Tried the local cuisine and also cooked. Abdel checked in frequently and small things were taken care of immediately. Two highlights were the deep conversations with the staff and the contact with the students.
