The experience of volunteering at the guest house was so much better than I imagined. The work is very easy and is often over in less hours than expected. The other volunteers really made my stay enjoyable, whether through card games, movie nights or just the general fun environment that we had. Surfing is a huge plus as it's the perfect activity for this place's vibe. Toshi was a great host, funny and kind. Overall if you want a chill experience, learn surfing, eat some fried chicken and hoard ice cream, this is the place for you.

Aoshima was so fun, toshi is a very kind host and i loved staying at the hostel, all the other volunteers were litballs and great meeting people from places I don't know much about. The work is very reasonable and if you are looking to learn how to surf or just to relax in a small town i highly recommend:))))

I had an amazing time at Hoojo! The work itself is super easy and we all worked together and supported each other. On most days the work is done quickly and we have loads of free time. We lived very close to the beach so we could go surfing everytime we wanted. I can recommend this to everyone! Big thanks to Toshi for being such a friendly and cool host.

Toshi was a great host. I loved my time at the guest house and enjoyed meeting every other volunteer, i hope i can come back in later years especially for cinema heaven 😎😎😎. Pull up, surf, play cards, eat carrots, and play some bangers 😎😎

Toshi is just dope Af! His guesthouse and other properties are beautiful, clean, and so cultured. I love my time there! Work doesn't take away from the experience and a pleasure to complete. He picks the best roomies. Guest are so nice and from everywhere around the world! If you love to surf and beach life this is the world packer for you

This was my first WorldPackers experience and it was overall pretty nice. I would highly recommend visiting during warmer temperatures to really enjoy the beach. Toshi was very welcoming and work was fairly easy giving us enough time to explore afterwards.

I had so much fun and met so many amazing people! The work is easy and goes by quickly, there are several properties but most of them are walking distance apart and Toshi will drive you to the further ones. The location is fantastic and the beach is only 2 minutes away so you can surf to your hearts content. I'll never forget my time in the saloon with my fellow sheriffs, it has been a pleasure 🫡

A really nice experience ! Toshi and Daisuke are really chill and the job is fair. You'll have time to discover the region and enjoy Aoshima for a slower life :)

The guest house is a paradise, thats the only way i can describe it! Toshi the host is super chill en nice, he's funny and he's a DJ so cant go wrong with that. The work itself is very chill and actually fun and relaxing sometimes, it was a nice start to the day and not long at all. The surf is absolutely perfect for all levels. The town itself is beautifull and offers some nice quiet and chill vibes. I would also recommend Hitchhicking on the island of KYU SHU, its a great way to meet local people! Toshi and Japan, THANK YOU! PS. If you see Ms. Kohana in the saloon, say hey for me!
