Volunteering in Aoshima was absolutely amazing! The work hours were super chill so everyday there was a lot of free time to relax, surf and hang out with other volunteers. The place itself is amazing: there are a lot of cute cafes and restaurants with great food. The beach is only 2 minutes away so it's possible to go swimming and surfing any time. Toshi is also a great host who is always ready to help. Highly recommend this place!

Working and staying in Aoshima was a great experience! The job is easy and you have a lot of free time. The best part is that you can surf everyday :) They have softboards (long and short) and longboards. In Aoshima there's not a lot of stuff to do, so I would only recommend the place to people who likes nature and surfing. However you can just take the traing and go to Miyazaki if you want to go shopping or party. Also I felt really confortable with all the team!

It was my first volunteering experience trough Worldpackers, so I had no clue what to expect, but I can now say that I'm extremely satisfied with this experience. The working hours are fair, you live in a separate flat with the other volunteers, you get to know many people (both volunteers and guests chilling in the patio), Toshi and Foo are nice. Aoshima is the best place in Japan!! Chill and laid back town with surfing vibes, what can you desire more? I was also lucky enough to meet a marvellous group, so we did many activities together. Definitely recommended! 🏄🏻♂️🌞🌈

I'm happy to have had this place in Aoshima as my first worldpackers experience. I made some good friends over there and really enjoyed my time. It's a good spot to learn surfing as well. Work was never too much and is completely fair in exchange for what you get. Greetings to Javi, Sean, Myrte, Simon, Emil, EJ, Anju, Kobe, Daisuke and Toshi 🏄

My stay at the guest house was amazing! The work was light and the working hours were really chill. Toshi was very welcoming and everybody working there were really nice. Aoshima is a really nice place to relax and surf! :)

Aoshima is a nice little town! Fun surfing and good food and chill vibes. Toshi and everyone working here was cool and the working hours are great. The guesthouse is nice and I made lots of friends here. The only thing I would say is that the volunteer living space could be a bit nicer but it wasn't bad. Overall I had a great time here, I really enjoy spending time at the beach and I even extended my stay!

Recomiendo totalmente. Toshi , Foo, Daisuke fueron muy amables y respetuosos. Tienes mucho tiempo libre para conocer Aoshima y alrededores. En un lugar increible. Las tareas no son dificiles y se hacen en equipo. Se habla preferentemente ingles pero tambien puedes usar japones. Si te gusta la playa, el surf y la tranquilidad es perfecto para ti.

I had an amazing experience from start to finish. Aoshima is beautiful. Toshi and Fuu were both very welcoming and helpful. I had a medical emergency during my stay and Toshi was super helpful offering to bring me to the hospital and help with everything.

I had an amazing time in aoshima!! I met super nice and inspiring people. The work is super easy and you have a lot of free time. I even learned how to surf a little! Thanks to Toshi and Foo i had a great experience
