Ich habe wirklich meine Erfahrung im Gästehaus geliebt! Das Hotel ist traditionell, reizend, sauber und gut gelegen in einer ruhigen Gegend. Alle Gäste und die anderen Freiwilligen waren super nett, es herrschte eine wirklich gute Atmosphäre und man fühlt sich schnell wie zu Hause! Die Kommunikation mit Roy und Chie war flüssig! Ich empfehle das Gästehaus zu 110%!

Ich habe einen Monat lang im B&B Hachi als Freiwilliger gearbeitet und eine wirklich positive Erfahrung gemacht. Die Arbeit war fair und leicht nachvollziehbar. Der Wohnraum fühlte sich wie zu Hause an, mit tollen Kücheneinrichtungen, und die Lage in Kyoto war wunderschön. Ich mochte die Routine und die Gesamtatmosphäre, und würde diese Freiwilligen-Erfahrung anderen Reisenden auf jeden Fall empfehlen!

The guest house really came to feel like home in the two months I was able to stay and volunteer there. The host and her husband, Chie and Roy, were so kind and welcoming. They worked with me to make sure I understood and felt comfortable with all of my tasks, were flexible with scheduling as needed, made sure we felt safe and happy as staff on-site and knew what to do in the event that anything made us uncomfortable, gave clear direction and communication, and had the absolute best recommendations for things to do around Kyoto. This is just a tiny summary of how amazing they are. Highly recommend!!

Die Erfahrung war wundervoll. ✨ Chie ist super lieb, sehr dem Projekt engagiert und eine gute Person. Die Arbeit ist sehr gut verteilt, ebenso wie die Aufgaben und die Schichten, was es ermöglicht, die Stadt und die Umgebung zu erkunden, man hat am Ende viel Freizeit, um sie zu genießen. Das Hostel ist ein sehr schönes traditionelles japanisches Haus, das den Aufenthalt extrem angenehm macht. Als zusätzlichen Vorteil hast du Fahrräder zur Nutzung des Personals und kannst an den Yoga-Kursen teilnehmen, die im Hostel angeboten werden. Ich werde diesen Monat in Kyoto sehr schätzen. Ich empfehle es auf jeden Fall 🖤🫶🏼

Chie und Roy und hervorragende Gastgeber, es war eine tolle Teamarbeits-Erfahrung mit dem übrigen Personal auch. Die Arbeitsbelastung kann eine Anpassung erfordern, wenn du nicht an körperliche Arbeit gewöhnt bist (besonders, wenn dies dein erster Job ist), aber letztendlich findet jeder seinen Rhythmus. Es gibt eine gute Balance zwischen Arbeit und Freizeit, um die Umgebung zu erkunden, und auch ein schönes Frühstück jeden Tag. Das ist eine großartige Option, wenn du Kyoto erkunden und Tagesausflüge in Shiga, Uji, Nara und Osaka unternehmen möchtest!

Ich hatte eine wunderbare Erfahrung im Gästehaus! Die Arbeit (hauptsächlich Hauswirtschaft, Reinigung und Empfang) war super einfach und fair. Der Ort an sich ist soooo schön, super sauber, und in einer so komfortablen Umgebung zum Verweilen. Was die Erfahrung wirklich besonders machte, war Chie — sie ist eine so erstaunliche, fleißige und inspirierende Person. Ich bewundere sie zutiefst und sehe zu ihr auf. Sie gab mir die Möglichkeit zu wachsen, sowohl persönlich als auch beruflich, und ich bin ihr dafür sehr dankbar. Ich würde das Gästehaus jedem empfehlen, der eine sinnvolle und angenehme Worldpackers-Erfahrung sucht.

It's a beautiful traditional house that's perfectly located, You feel right at home here. The work tasks aren't difficult, and you have a lot of time to visit the city or the surrounding villages. Chie is adorable, very attentive, and makes sure everyone feels comfortable. I recommend ! it was a wonderful experience.

I had such a great time working with Chie-san and the other volunteers ! Chie-san is truly a wonderful and inspiring person. She is a great host. She will help you to make the guest house feel like a home for you. The amount of work is the one specified. No surprise ! It's easy and you get to meet and link with new people everyday. You have a lot of free time to discover Kyoto. It's honestly a super opportunity. I could not recommend more for people to work with Chie-san in the guest house ! This place feels like a second home for me now !

Volunteering at the guest house in Kyoto was an unforgettable experience. Living in a traditionnal Japanese house was like a dream for me and the guesthouse exudes a perfect blend of traditional charm and modern comfort. I loved our responsabilities there, the work is very easy and the schedule offers a lot of free time to visit Kyoto. I felt as a real worker and not only a volunteer because Chie and Roy also trust you. The staff's warmth and genuine hospitality made me feel like part of a family. I 100% recommend this experience ! You'll meet a lot of travelers and learn about different cultures

Staying at the guest house in Kyoto was an amazing experience! The work is clear and often only 2 days a week so you get lots of time to explore. the guest house is right next to a metro, so it's super easy to get around and bikes to ride. There's also a park next to the guest house, which regularly has events and flea markets- super cute! You can also easily go to Osaka for a night out if you want more of a party atmosphere. The owners only come to the guest house 2 or three times a week, so it's a very independent environment. Chie, the owner, is super sweet and considerate as well!
