The Experience

Help with basic hosting duties at a traditonal Japanese home in the center of Kyoto, Japan. Tasks include making a simple breakfast for guests, check-ins/check-outs, laundry, cleaning rooms, etc. Plenty of free time to enjoy all the culture, history, food and nature! Bicycles, wi-fi, laundry staff fridge and more available. This will be YOUR home too!

I loved working at the guest house! Chie and Roy are incredible people who made me feel truly at home. They were always so caring, helping me with everything I needed. The guesthouse is a beautiful, and a great place to meet people from all over the world. The working hours were very fair, giving me plenty of time to explore Kyoto. I had fun with the team, cooking together and going on day trips. Chie and Roy also took us to lunch sometime, which was wonderful to talk about Japan's culture. It was the perfect first volunteering experience, and I will definitely come back. Arigato Gozaimasu <3
