My experience in Hedemora was really positive. I had time to connect with myself, enjoy the moment, and take in some amazing views. I met some great volunteers and locals, and I was able to connect with them and learn a lot just by spending time together. One of the best parts for me was the football matches, which happened almost twice a week. I loved playing with both kids and adults — everyone was super friendly and welcoming to me. This experience will stay with me for a long time. It really helped me reflect and set some goals for my future.

Ivan kam in eine völlig neue Umgebung und war offen, alles auszuprobieren und zu erfahren. Sehr freundlich und entspannt verstand er sich mit allen. Ivan arbeitete tagsüber, aber er ergriff trotzdem viel Initiative, um zu helfen, auch wenn er seine Freiwilligenstunden bereits geleistet hatte. Had the most amazing time at the Center this month! The workload was reasonable and at your own pace, which gave us plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and lake. The community made us feel so welcomed from the first day, especially the volunteer coordinator, Kelsey. The other volunteers were also amazing and it was cool to live with people from all over the world. There's always something going on in the community, so we got to try new activities we never would've done otherwise. Highly recommend a workstay at the Center!

Lexi und Dede sind ein unglaubliches Team, mit so viel Freundlichkeit und Charisma, dass die Freiwilligenwohnung während ihrer Zeit hier aufleuchtete. Sie haben den Ton angegeben und die anderen Freiwilligen ließen sich von dem großartigen Gefühl des Zusammenlebens mitreißen. Sie waren äußerst zuverlässig, eigenständig, vertrauenswürdig und gut organisiert. Ihre Persönlichkeiten werden uns fehlen!

I experienced so many firsts at the Center — my first time volunteering, my first time in a spiritual community, my first time living in a village that feels like a fairytale. I helped in the kitchen, made clay crafts, planted onions, joined a women's circle, saw acro yoga, and paddled a canoe on the lake for the first time and so on. I'm really thankful for this journey and I'll always treasure it. I loved every person in the community —everyone was so kind and warm. I could express my feelings and preferences freely, and I found a rare sense of safety and comfort. I'll miss you all very much.

Lexi and I had the best time in our three weeks at the Center. Kelsey was so welcoming and warm to us, as was the whole community. Even though we were there a short time, I felt like everyone took the chance to get to know us, teach us, and take us under their wing. The town is beautiful, especially in June, and we were lucky enough to get to experience Midsummer with the locals in the most picturesque setting. I had really limited yoga and meditation experience, and Kelsey did such an amazing job of making me feel comfortable and welcomed to participate in any classes! We love you the Center🫶

Dede und Lexi sind ein erstaunliches Duo, das eine warme, freundliche Atmosphäre schafft, die alle anderen Freiwilligen genießen konnten :) Sie sind super zuverlässig und Dede hat SO SCHÖNE FOTOS gemacht. Friedhelm was my first Worldpackers experience and exactly the right place for it! My experience in Friedhelm was very, very good. It's just a wonderfully peaceful and warm place. A beautiful place with lots to experience. I received a very warm welcome from Kelsey, the other residents and the other volunteers and felt right at home. I was unfortunately ill at the beginning and everyone was very accommodating!Apart from that, I just had a great time with lots of fun and relaxation. I very much hope to come back one day! Lu war eine wahre Kämpferin! Sie kam krank an und ging trotzdem hinaus, um im Garten zu helfen, nahm am Yoga teil und verpasste nichts von dem, was es zu erleben gab. Glücklicherweise erholte sie sich schnell, trotz ihres Engagements, sich überall einzubringen :) Wir heißen sie herzlich willkommen zurück und schätzen alles, was sie gegeben und geholfen hat.

The Center is a truly special place and definitely an opportunity worth experiencing! In the few weeks I was there I fell in love with the land and community, and it was hard to say goodbye in the end. There is so much love and supportive energy here <3 You will not be disappointed!

Fue una experiencia totalmente maravillosa! Las personas de la comunidad del centro son epectaculares! Siempre dispuestas a compartir contigo y a enseñarte sobre su cultura. Es un lugar ideal si es que buscas tranquilidad y vivir en comunidad. Brindan una casa para los voluntarios con todo lo necesario para una buena estancia. Lo recomiendo totalmente!!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay! The host was incredibly responsive and helpful, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free. The location was perfect—quiet and peaceful. Hajar kam mit Energie und Begeisterung an, bestrebt, einen Unterschied zu machen und ihre Fähigkeiten und ihr Fachwissen zu teilen. Sie hat sich ganz natürlich im Dorf und mit den anderen Freiwilligen eingebracht. Sie ist großzügig, unkompliziert, selbstständig und voller Wertschätzung. Wir freuen uns schon auf ihre Rückkehr. Fue una experiencia muy enriquecedora, el lugar era muy acogedor y las personas muy amables. Las tareas dependen de las habilidades de cada voluntario, hay mucha Flexibilidad. El lugar es hermoso, es una comunidad. La habitación es compartida y la cocina tiene todo lo necesario para una buena estancia. Puedes ir al supermercado 1 vez por semana, lavandería y check in/out se pagan al final de la estadía. Lo recomiendo totalmente. 🫶🏼
