Ich hatte eine wunderbare Zeit bei dem Projekt! Die Familie war super herzlich und inklusive. Ich habe mich für das Projekt entschieden, um meine Fähigkeiten als Koch weiterzuentwickeln, sowie mehr über ihre Kultur/Lebensweise zu lernen. Sie haben ein gemütliches Zuhause, umgeben von vier süßen kleinen Katzen und zwei Hunden. An jedem Tag wurde mir die Aufgabe übertragen, das Mittag- und Abendessen zusammen mit ihrem Sohn zu kochen. Ich war auch damit beschäftigt, zu putzen, zu lesen und Spaziergänge im schönen Berggebiet zu machen. Es gab immer viel köstliches Essen und Getränke! Sie haben mir sogar einige andere Fähigkeiten beigebracht, für die sie leidenschaftlich sind (Schweißen, Schmieden, Fermentieren usw.). Sehr dankbar!

Ich fand die Gastgeber als durchdachte und rücksichtsvolle Menschen, die entweder sehr direkt sein können oder Raum lassen, wo es für das Gemeinwohl nötig ist. Mit ihnen ist es so einfach zu sprechen. Ich habe so viel von ihnen in einer sehr angenehmen Umgebung gelernt. Die Umgebung ist wunderschön. Die Tiere sind so kuschelig. Wahrscheinlich werde ich wiederkommen!

I'm so grateful for my first Worldpackers experience at Bogota the project and recommend it to anyone seeking an adventure. Nestled in the green hills of Croatia this beautiful homestead and family welcomed me with open arms. The work was as agreed upon, tasks often blended into the lifestyle rather than feeling like chores. The rhythm of the days allowed plenty of time to rest and reflect. From shared (yummy) dinners to quiet moments with nature, everyday held something meaningful. Thank you, bogota the project family for showing me what intentional living looks like, I'll carry it with me wherever I go.

The time I spent at the project was the best of my life. The people, the work, the environment, everything is amazing. It was my first volunteering experience and I would without a doubt recommend it to everyone. Peter, Barbara, Fleur and Nol made me feel comfortable immediately, I was able to express myself and grow as a person. I also have to say, coming from a former picky eater, the food is definitely amazing, there wasn't a single meal I didn't absolutely love during my stay. Wouldn't change my time there for anything in the world. Highly recommend!

Dies war eine positive Erfahrung. Eine gute Familie, ein schöner Landstrich, vier schöne Katzen, und zwei niedliche Hunde. Ich war hier, um mit ihrem Sohn Nol zu kochen, der während des größten Teils meines Aufenthalts bedauerlicherweise krank war; dennoch stellten sie mir reichlich freie Zeit und Freiheit zum Kochen der Mahlzeiten zur Verfügung. Köstlicher Tee und Kombucha standen weiterhin bereit.

I had a great and enriching experience at the project! I learned a lot about permaculture, the rhythm of nature, and the value of building a meaningful project with people from different backgrounds. Unfortunately, the other expected volunteers canceled, and since the farm is quite remote (no bus to the town), I felt a bit alone and dependent on the family for transport and social life. Despite these two personal challenges, I truly enjoyed the hands-on learning in the garden and the care of animals. Barbara and Peter were kind and generous, and I'm very grateful for this experience.

Foram dias de algumas consversas com Peter.. onde alcançei novos conhecimentos sobre o Charlei. PS.: Em dias com calor sempre acontece um banho de rio. Obrigado pelos lindos e divertidos dias!

Charlei. Ingenieur von großer Qualität. Hilft beim Machen, Entwerfen und Bauen von Konstruktionen – einfach und macht Spaß. Er ist ein sehr eigenständiger Mann. Er hat eine ruhige, vorbildliche Haltung. Lacht gern, trinkt gern ein Bier und isst gern gut. Eine sehr angenehme Person in seiner Nähe. Wir haben viel dazu beigetragen, die Grundlagen für ein offenes Feuer mit Kamin zu schaffen. Er führte auch eine Gruppe von Pfadfindern an, Baumaterial von einem erstklassigen Standort zu entfernen. Ohne Zweifel sehr empfehlenswert. Er ist immer willkommen.

I have absolutely LOVED my experience at the project and would recommend to anyone who wants to slow down and reconnect with nature. Barbara, Peter and the family were super welcoming and always made sure I had everything I needed. The working hours were as described and flexible depending on the weather and what times we decided worked best for our group. The work its self was not overly strenuous and varied from day to day. The facilities and accommodation were great. I learnt a lot about sustainability and permaculture. Super grateful for the experience !!!

I really enjoyed my (first) Worldpackers experience at the project! The environment is beautiful, amazingly green and peaceful. Barbara & Peter are very flexible and very happy to share all their knowledge. Also: it's a big plus that Nol is a chef-to-be, so they prepare dinner every evening! Especially for 'meat eaters' a real treat, but they took my vegetarianism in account as well! I'll definitely miss this place, and all the dogs and cats as well. Hopefully we'll meet again :)

I had a very interesting and rewarding 3-week stay at the lush forest compound of Bogota the project where I stayed in my own private camper. Baking sourdough bread, foraging wild strawberries for cheesecake and nettles for soup, picking a variety of herbs for salad in the garden, learning how to make Elderberry syrup, Kombucha and fermented cleaning product. These are all recipes and methods I will carry with me for life! On my free days I visited Karlovac, the big city nearby and hiked in the national park. Croatia has been an eye-opener. Such a rich, complex and beautiful country!!!
