Ich habe hier sechs Wochen verbracht und jede Minute geliebt! Amanda ist wirklich liebenswert und alle Tiere sind sehr süß! Bereite dich auf harte Arbeit vor, aber deine Hilfe und dein Engagement sind wirklich notwendig und auf dem Hof geschätzt! Es gibt immer etwas zu tun oder irgendwohin zu gehen – man sieht ein Tanzfestival im Dorf oder besucht an meinem freien Tag schöne Strände! Wenn du darüber nachdenkst zu helfen, tu es bitte - ich würde es auf jeden Fall jedem empfehlen, der sich für Pferde, die Natur oder Tiere interessiert! Ich werde definitiv wieder an diesen wunderbaren Ort zurückkehren!!!

Der Ort und Amanda empfangen dich mit offenen Armen, die Stille, die Ruhe und die Natur werden zu einem Teil von dir. Die leichten Aktivitäten, meine Stunden wurden ebenso wie meine Tage immer respektiert, ich hatte die Gelegenheit, mich zu verbinden und wunderbare Menschen kennenzulernen, mich mit mir selbst zu verbinden. Dies ist ein großartiges Projekt, und es lohnt sich wirklich. Und wenn du dich selbst suchst und wie du beitragen kannst, ist dies eine großartige Freiwilligenarbeit, die genau ab April 2026 Unterstützung braucht. Es ist einfach schön. Frieden und Liebe für alle.

Ich liebte meine Zeit auf der Farm und verlängerte meinen Aufenthalt. Die hervorragende Pflege der Ponys hat oberste Priorität. Amanda hat in vielen Bereichen Wissen, aber Zeitknappheit — ich habe nie realisiert, wie viel Arbeit es kostet, eine gemeinnützige Organisation zu führen! Die Tage folgen einem Rhythmus, organisiert mit klaren manuellen Aufgaben. Man muss sich 4/5 Stunden engagieren, um das Beste daraus zu machen! Die drei energiegeladenen Rettungshunde brauchen Zeit, um sich an neue Personen zu gewöhnen und strikte Grenzen, aber sie sind liebenswert. Das Zimmer ist einfach, aber hat alles Wesentliche, die Umgebung bietet Frieden und einen atemberaubenden Nachthimmel. Das Essen ist lecker und nahrhaft. Der Strand ist nah, und das Dorf ist 10 km entfernt, es ist einfach, per Anhalter zu reisen!

I really enjoyed my time at skyros. I think there was enough work and enough free time. One day a week was a free day when I could go to the city or the beach. I recommend this place to everyone who likes horses and simple and peacefull life style.

I'm glad I could support Amanda's and Stathis incredible project. They care for their animals more than well. The work and accommodation is as described and the area is very pretty. It's a good opportunity if you are looking for a place to calm down and be around lots of animals. I liked the volunteer team, it was always nice and I met great people :)

It's a great place. Amanda and Stathie are nice people and they make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The work can be hard if you're not used to it. But you will gain strength during your time here. I was supposed to stay for 2 months but instead I stayed 4, so I definitely recommend it.

I stayed at Amanda and Stathis' farm for two months. Both of them are incredibly kind and welcoming, treating their volunteers with much respect and open hearts. Their dedication to the project is mind-blowing. They both give their all and still go above and beyond to care for not only the many beautiful horses, but all the animals they have taken into their care. The farm is a place where you can truly learn more about yourself, while also never getting too bored as there is always something to do or discover around the farm/island. I had a wonderful time there and would definitely come back!

I really enjoyed my time at the farm where the horses and other animals are treated with so much respect and care. The work is mucking out, feeding and giving water to the horses etc.. It is physically hard work but very rewarding. Food is super delicious. The living area is rustic and simple. At the farm you will have alot of time to think and reflect and in the freetime you can go to the beach, go to the taverna, go to the church and go on walks. I stayed for 7 weeks but could have stayed longer. Elin

I stayed at the farm with Amanda and Stathis for 2 weeks to put up a fence. Overall was an amazing opportunity to truly experience the local day to day. It is obvious that these animals are cared for at the highest possible level and they are always at the forefront of the farm's decisions. I felt the experience was advertised well and didn't have any surprises with accommodations. If you are comfortable in the elements and enjoy nature than this will be a perfect fit!

I had a wonderful time at Amanda's! the ponies (and the other animals) are more than well cared for, you can really see that Amanda and Stathis are real animal lovers & have dedicated their life to this project, very inspiring! not only their animals are treated with respect, but it's the same with us volunteers, I felt very welcome. the work is fair and easy but still important (e.g. mucking out, filling up waters). unfortunately, i injured my ankle and decided to leave to get treatment (I've had problems with this before, so i had to be careful). Amanda was very understanding & supportive:)
