Our host, Alexander, is an Argentinian traveler who has spent the past four years in Costa Rica, drawn by its natural beauty, surf culture, and sustainable lifestyle. With a background in hospitality and entrepreneurship, he created this project as a way to give back to nature and the local community. The land where the glamping site now stands was once deforested for banana plantations, harming biodiversity. Today, Alexander is on a mission to restore the area, create local job opportunities, and build a space where travelers can connect with nature and each other. Inspired by The Lord of the Rings, he named the project La Comarca, a peaceful haven where people live in harmony with their surroundings. His goal is to not only be a great host but to offer an experience that leaves a lasting impact on both travelers and the environment.
Costa Rica is a world-renowned destination for eco-tourism, adventure, and sustainability, offering breathtaking landscapes from lush rainforests to stunning coastlines. Known for its rich biodiversity, this tropical paradise is home to exotic wildlife, pristine beaches, and a strong commitment to conservation.
Nestled on the Pacific coast, Quepos is a lively seaside town that serves as the gateway to Manuel Antonio National Park, one of Costa Rica’s most famous nature reserves. With its golden beaches, world-class surf, and vibrant local culture, Quepos perfectly embodies the country’s spirit of adventure and connection with nature. Whether you're looking to hike through rainforests, spot monkeys and sloths, enjoy fresh seafood, or surf incredible waves, Quepos offers an unforgettable experience in the heart of Costa Rica’s natural beauty.
By joining this project, you’re not just exploring Costa Rica—you’re actively contributing to local communities and environmental conservation. Through community work, cultural exchange, and eco-friendly initiatives, your journey will leave a positive impact on both people and the planet.
The project actively restores biodiversity by reforesting former banana plantations. By planting native trees and creating a sanctuary for local wildlife, we protect terrestrial ecosystems and promote a sustainable harmony between humans and nature.
By creating local job opportunities and promoting sustainable tourism, the project boosts the Quepos economy. We empower the community through fair labor practices and hospitality initiatives that prove environmental care and economic growth go hand in hand.
Beach cleanups go beyond just picking up trash—they help protect marine life, keep ecosystems healthy, and raise awareness about the impact of pollution. Every piece of waste removed is a step toward preserving Costa Rica’s stunning coastlines for future generations.
