A Sunflower Stop Backpackers
We are a small hostel where volunteers can interact with our guests on a more personal level. We have been here for just over 2 decades, growing the family of our return guests from all over the world. Big enough for a vibe, small enough to care.
We started A Sunflower Stop from scratch over 20 years ago. Our staff and guests are our extended family. Volunteers will become one of the family, working at our bar or tending to our Housekeeping. Filter coffee, laundry and unlimited Wi-Fi are all included.

My experience at Sunflower was incredible! The job is easy and fun, you can enjoy it as you go as long as you remember to to do everything expected from it. It is a great way also to meet people and travellers from all over the world. The staff is lovely and always there to help and chat! The hostel is a beautiful place with a great vibe and location, I had an amazing time !

A minha experiência no Sunflower foi maravilhosa. No início eu tive um pouco de dificuldade, mas todos são muito disposta a ajudar e orientar nas atividades. Sunflower foi uma supresa maravilhosa pra mim, pois além de aprimorar meu inglês eu pude conhecer pessoas maravilhosas e fazer amigos que irei levar para vida.
Com toda certeza eu indicaria essa experiência para qualquer um.

My experience at Sunflower was amazing! It's a lovely and friendly place, the staff it's very helpful and I had a great time working at the bar. In my time volunteering I met incredible friends, I improved a lot my english and I lived unforgettable moments. This experience will forever have a special place in my heart.

Working here was fun for the most part - the job itself at the bar isn't very demanding, however, it does take up a decent amount of time. The schedule is 4 days on, 4 days off with another volunteer who you share a small room with. Would have liked to know ahead of time that everything is done on pen & paper for the bar & requires a lot of time to count the morning after your shift. Bc many different people were training me, it took me a while to get the hang of the bar count & would take 1-2 hours extra of work each morning, Made some good friends though & staff were nice!
