I highly reccomend travellers to volunteer with us because Hotel Mirage is a beautiful and peaceful place located inside Jaisalmers Fort. We have a sunny rooftop cafe with an amazing view of the Maharaja Palace, near the entrance. The hotel is very colorful, clean, comfortable and I Iike making people feel at home. I really enjoy the exchange with travellers and it makes me happy to teach about Indian culture, helping people with reccomendations and having meaningul conversations about life. I also enjoy cooking very much and I love to teach as well!
My name is Ba and I grew up in Barna, a village south of Jaisalmer, where I worked as a farmer for many years. In 2012, I started to organize camel safaris to the desert and sharing my knowledge about wildlife and plants with different travelers. From there I decided to open this hotel inside the fort. People say I'm a very kind, happy and positive person. For me the most important thing is to make people feel welcome, comfortable and I treat everybody as a part of my family. All the reviews in Tripadvisor, Booking and different platforms agree with that so Im happy to be able to fullfill my desire!

"I volunteered at hotel mirage in jaisalmer and had an incredible experience. Property Ower Mr Ba and manager rashid and other staff were friendly and welcoming, and the hotel itself was clean and comfortable. I loved the communal atmosphere, and the opportunity to meet travelers from all over the world. The hotel also offered free breakfast lunch and dinner and organized fun activities like desert safari and city tours. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend it to volunteers from world packers

The host Ba took care from the first day and treated me like a family member. Ba is very friendly host and treats every guest like his own family. The food is also good. I spent most of my time on the roof top restaurant enjoying sunset in the evenings. Work is also flexible. Ba also arranged a desert safari which was a magical experience. I would definitely recommend this place in Jaisalmer. I would come back again.

Host Ba is a very lovely person with a friendly nature. His hotel mirage is inside the world famous Jaisalmer Fort. Travellers from all around the world stays in his hotel since 15 yrs. He made some really great friends from different countries. Me being a volunteer never felt like it and tasks were very enjoyable. We together shop for kitchen and made some really delicious food. I also handled all booking platform profiles and optimise it for better presence and more bookings. He made sure that all his guests and volunteers are comfortable and enjoying their stay. Made some lifelong memories
