It is a hostel where style, comfort and hospitality meets. Which is why we offer a big amount of different rooms. It contains a reception with a bar and sofa area, so that it is possible to enjoy the social environment with the other guests. At the very top of the hostel you will find the kitchen and a wonderful rooftop, where you can sit and enjoy your meals with the greatest view and a chance to spot the Sagui monkey. The hostel is located in a friendly neighborhood and no more than 3 blocks from the famous Copacabana beach.
The staff always welcomes you with a smile and makes you feel included. They are a big part of the work as a volunteer, which is why they care so much about making you feel at home during your stay. It is always possible to ask them for help, and they will more than gladly give you good tips and advises for your travel in Rio de Janeiro.

Me gustó trabajar en recepción, el trabajo es sencillo y la experiencia muy bonita, regresaría a trabajar a este Hostel mil veces!!! I really enjoyed my time at Copacabana for various reasons!
-One, the team is tight knit and really works well together. From the manager, the workers,
bartenders and volunteers, everyone has a good vibe and good energy. I found myself making friends with the staff and guests and we often went out to explore Rio together.
-Two, the location is perfect. Only a 5 minute walk to the famous Copacabana beach, you will find yourself drinking caipirinhas in the sun in no time! Also - the Metro stop is only 2 minutes walking from the hostel.
-Three - I joined a samba school while I was here!

I really enjoyed staying at cabanacopa! The breakfast and reception work is really simple and chill. The hostel is located in a great area in Rio with subway, stores, restaurants and the beach really close! I really recommend volunteering here for a welcoming and fun experience. Unfortunately I couldn't extend my stay, otherwise I would. I loved getting to know and spend time with the staff, other volunteers and the international guests that stayed there. Kisses and hugs go out to Melany, Marc, Amanda, Ale, Paloma, Ana, Gaspar, Vitor, Fabi and Isa :) <3

Overall I did enjoy my time at the hostel. The staff and the other volunteers were nice and you have a lot of time to explore the city as you work one day on and one day off. The tasks, however, were a bit unclear and not communicated very well. Although the host is very flexible if you want to change your dates. All in all, Rio is an amazing city and I really want to come back!

I had two amazing months volunteering at CabanaCopa hostel. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the hostel itself was well connected with the metro to the rest of the city, also with an amazing terrace and close to the beach.
As a bartender I worked every other day 17-23, which meant you could still party afterwards and you always had the daytime off.
I highly recommend volunteering here!
