Creagh House
It's fun being at Creagh during the summer, there's lots of people staying, music and dance, and walks in the woods, and sometimes canoeing. We like to meet people from other cultures. Quieter in the winter, and colder but we generally still have fun 😊 In winter you should be prepared for cold temperatures in the house, we generally live at 14 deg centigrade, except for the main living room which has a stove. Dancing keeps you warm!
You will be treated as one of the family! We work hard but not for long hours. We eat together at least once a day, and sometimes go out in the evening together. Volunteers sleep in a large dormitory room, with up to 4 other people of any gender. We do have a tiny mezzanine available sometimes for couples.
Routine is that you will work 4 days a week for 6 hours each day though we can be flexible, for instance if you are working on line you can distribute your 25 hours a week so that you can still keep up with your remote working. We expect you to be flexible too, sometimes you will be asked to work a weekend shift, or start early. Work is all physical, cleaning, ironing , changing beds, gardening, painting, construction, emptying compost toilet cleaning geese pen, chopping wood, stacking turf etc etc
