Well, I guess it will say it all, that I already want to come back… Thank you Ricardo and Nelia a thousand times for everything.

Work is super fun and flexible times. The room is cozy. Food a 100/10. Great tips on places and parties from the hosts.

This experience was amazing from the start. The farm is located near a lot of fun activities but it’s also very peaceful place to be. Close enough to the beaches as well which I enjoyed. Ricardo and Nélia were very helpful in sharing places to visit as well as making sure I was fed. The job is very easy, mostly weighed berries and picked out the bad fruit. Sometimes I would help prune the berry bushes. I really enjoyed my time here, gave me a chance to relax and enjoy the Portuguese style of life. I worked but mostly played.

He estado durante 2 semanas aquí y realmente ha sido una experiencia bastante gratificante. Ricardo y Nelia siempre están muy pendientes del voluntario y que se encuentren las mejores condiciones posibles. Totalmente recomendable venir.

This is my first volunteering experience.
Apart from initial miscommunication, everything else was good. I appreciated Nelia's cooking and kindness :) I appreciated that after talking to both Ricardo and Nelia about some issues, everything was dealt with.
Thank you also for including tofu and oat milk, as I am lactose intolerant and do not eat meat.
A really nice family, nice people:)

Quiero agradecer la oportunidad de haber sido parte de su hogar durante un mes. Fue una experiencia valiosa, pero creo que hay aspectos que se pueden mejorar. En algunos momentos me sentí más como una empleada que como una voluntaria, y sentí falta de inclusión y empatía, especialmente en la comunicación. Por ejemplo, ciertas actitudes y gestos crearon incomodidad, pero no se abordaron. Entiendo que cada lugar tiene su propia cultura, pero creo que fomentar la integración y valorar el voluntariado como un verdadero intercambio marcará la diferencia
