The nature surrounding the farm is a special example of ancient permaculture architecture on the border of the Mediterranean ecosystem and high mountains, which was abandoned after the Second World War.
I am a professional mountain guide and cinematographer. My main hobby is building dry stones. Volunteers can learn how to build a stone building without concrete and participate in workshops on old crafts and bushcraft.

This is an experience for you if you want to go deep into knowing Balkan culture and nature. You will have plenty of time to explore the mountains and the forest.
Darko and his family are great hosts that showed me and the other volunteer, how to put a strong sense of commitment and determination towards the noble goal of living off- grid.

This was our first Worldpacker experience and we are so happy to have meet Darko, his familly and all the animals. Most of the days and nights we spent sleeping in a tipi tent up in the mountains with occasional night in their studio apartment downtown. We had everything we needed. The days we spent helping out with the goats, to milk them and let them out and then collect them before evening. We also engaged in other fun projects at the camp so the days went by quickly. It was simply great, we stayed longer then planned and we have only good things to say about this place!

We had a truely amazing experience with Darko and his goats! Living at the camp on simple terms with beautiful surroundings, the goats, cats and dogs, everyone with their own personality, was better then we ever could have imagined. We learned how to take care of the goats, make cheese, how to build stone houses in a traditional way, about Montenegro/old Jugoslavia and so much more. In addition to all this we got to know Darko, an inspiring, fun, truly kind man and his family which we felt like a part of. For every week we grew more and more and if we could have stayed longer we would have!
