Hostel Elf
You’ll be staying in a hostel with over 25 years of history, known for its unique atmosphere and great community. It’s a place where volunteers and guests quickly feel at home, and where people often create friendships that last long after they leave.

We are two owners, Hana and Šárka. Since we both love traveling, we truly understand the needs of our guests and volunteers. We’re easygoing and easy to get along with, so working with us is always a smooth experience.

My experience at the hostel was truly incredible, and it was the best choice I could have made for my first volunteering experience. The warmth and hospitality of everyone made me feel at home from day one. Every member of the team, from the reception and housekeeping staff to the other volunteers and the hostel owners, is amazing. They are people you genuinely enjoy working with, having conversations with, sharing laughs, and creating great memories together. Thank you so much, the hostel! I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a volunteering experience.

The hostel is amazing! If you're looking for a place with great vibes, lots of people to talk to, clean and cozy, you just found it! The whole staff is amazing, shoutout to reception guys, who are gonna make you feel welcome and at home! The location is really good, there's everything you need nearby and you can easily walk to old town. Work is not difficult and hours are fair and respected. Usually 2 volunteers at a time. One of the shifts is doing the barbecue, where we grill sausages for the guests outside. it's really fun and a great opportunity to mingle. Couldn't recommend it more!

Overall, I absolutely loved my time there exploring Prague and meeting so many people traveling around Europe. I made some close friends and met people who gave me such eye-opening experiences, along with seeing and experiencing the beautiful city of Prague. With that being said, the only downside to my experience was the work-to-benefits ratio and the manager's passive-aggressive attitude with making snarky comments. The work isn't too bad, but I wouldn't say it was quite worth the benefits and accommodation provided. Would absolutely go back to Prague but would work somewhere else.

Praticar inglês é um grande ponto neste voluntariado, tendo em vista que praticamente todos os hóspedes são internacionais. todavia, se o objetivo é socializar, esse não é o local, uma vez que são apenas 2 voluntários (você e mais um), restando a socialização restrita aos funcionários da recepção e aos hóspedes quando possível. as tarefas exigidas são mais do que as q constam aqui no WP e a comunicação com o gerente é bem difícil, já que ele é bem rude, o que inclusive foi um dos motivos que me motivou a ir embora em menos de 1 semana.

I spent about three weeks at the hostel, and I honestly loved my stay. It's such a social hostel with a great communal area where it's really easy to meet other travellers, hang out, and have good conversations. The BBQ nights were also very nice, especially as they bring everyone together over dinner and make it so much easier to get to know people. The staff were all super friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything.
