It was an overall enjoyable experience! The hostel is centrally located to Everything , good transportation to travel to nearby cities/ around the city. Really charming city with unique/ beautiful architecture/ areas/ events throughout the area. The hostel tasks was straight forward/ simple and flexibility of scheduling. Nelson created a good atmosphere there and truly listens to your feedback. It was an honor/ pleasure in collaborating with another Nelson! I had a wonderful time at the hostel as my first volunteering experience Shifts are 6.5 hours long and the tasks are easy. I had plenty of free time to explore both Braga and the near towns and places. The team dorms are located in the basement. This is a huge plus during hot summer days, but it gets quite cold at night, so bring warm clothes. Nelson was a great host—very kind, reliable, and true to his word. There were occasional minor communication hiccups, but Nelson always made it clear that we could reach out immediately if anything came. I met incredible people and enjoyed every day!

The hostel was my first experience as a volunteer and it was amazing. I spent a really nice time there with lovely people. Braga is very well located so trips to other cities like Guimarães, Porto, Aveiro or even Lisbon are very frequent and affordable. The only thing that is a little bit more complicated is getting to the beach by the ocean or to the mountains by public transport. But apart from that, work at the hostel is chill and allows you to travel a lot. Nelson is a really nice host. He took good care of the volunteers and presented us with a bit of local culture✨

It was my first volunteer experience and it was really good!! Nelson is a great person, and the tasks he asks for are simple and easy to learn. The only thing that could be better is the communication before arrival, some details about the listing were a bit different in real life. They were not huge issues, but having clearer information beforehand would help future volunteers arrive more prepared. Aside from that, I enjoyed my stay and I'm happy with the time spent here!

Everyone was very kind, and I had an amazing stay in Braga. The people were all wonderful, and the tasks are not difficult. Nelson is a very patient and friendly guy. I highly recommend this place to everyone. The only thing I was expecting was that there would be more people there in the hostel.
