Killarney house
The town of Killarney is at the feet of the highest mountain range in Ireland, and is surrounded by lush green hills, sparkling lakes, and beautiful nature. The nearby Killarney National Park is a must-visit attraction, featuring stunning landscapes, waterfalls, and wildlife. My house is centrally located that you can spend your free time exploring. The town center is only 20 minutes walk away along with the beautiful Killarney National Park.
My house is an old Irish farmhouse that I am slowly and sympathetically restoring back to it's natural beauty.
I live at my house with my small son. My house was built in the 1890's and is full of hidden charm. You will have a private room for yourself but are welcome to join my family in the main areas of the house. From March to October, I also offer rooms on Airbnb. If you are applying during these months, there may be guests at my home during your stay.
I will provide clean bedding and towels to use during your stay. At the end of your stay, please remove all bed linens from the bed to be washed. I have a washing machine you are welcome to use during your stay for you to wash your bed linens, towels, and clothes. All clothing is line dried, so keep this in mind with clothes. I expect the volunteer to be aware of their own personal hygiene and wash their dirty clothes on a regular basis.
You have full access to the kitchen to cook your meals, but you are responsible for cleaning up from yourself. I will provide breakfast and it is self-serve. You will be responsible for your own lunch, dinner, and snacks. The bathroom is shared with others, so it is expected that you also clean up after yourself in the bathroom and not leave dirt and dirty clothes there.
We have a family dog, Fiadh, who lives in our house.
