Kulaniapia Community Project

**WE CAN ONLY ACCEPT 3+ MONTH STAYS, NO EXCEPTIONS** We are an intentional living community best suited for people looking for a longer-term commitment like a gap year, career break, or a life shift. A minimum stay is 3 months. We offer a wide variety of learning and teaching opportunities, so every day offers something new! Our farm is part of a larger community that includes one of the Big Island's top rated Inns, and an adventure company. We offer farm tours, cooking classes, and off-grid cabins for short term rentals, which means that in addition to our community members, you will meet guests from all over the world! The community is managed by 1-2 community managers (Clayton). We have a maximum of 11 community members from all walks of life. We all contribute to helping everything run smoothly and ensuring everything is cared for. We expect community members to contribute 25-30 hours of work each week (5 hours a day, 5 days a week), split between farming, landscaping, housekeeping, helping with construction projects, cleaning common areas, and preparing shared meals. In return, you will get your own room (you will share a wall with 1-2 cabin-mates), participate in community meals (we prepare more meals together when the community is larger), and be provided with enough farm produce and staples to prepare all your meals independently, if you wish. Many of us are vegetarian or vegan, but it is not a requirement! We have hot showers, toilets (some flush, some composting), and internet access. The community aspect of our work is very important to us! We often spend time together cooking, painting, playing music or games, or having a chill movie night. On our off days, we love to go into town or explore this amazing island! Our community is alcohol free.
