The Clarence Park
Located just 2 blocks west of the posh Ritz Carlton Hotel , and 2 blocks east of the ultra-chic Thompson Hotel, we overlook a beautifully restored park in prime downtown Toronto. Whether your thing is shopping, entertainment, food, or sightseeing, find the best the city has to offer within a few minutes of our front door.
The Clarence Park is situated on a quiet side street overlooking a lovely urban park, and is surrounded by tons of restaurants, shops, tourist sites and 5-star hotels. Our neighborhood - King West - is where locals come to shop, dine and have fun. The facilities are clean and modern, with a cozy guest lounge that's the perfect place to read a book or mingle with other guests. And if you're a chef at heart, we have a fully appointed kitchen available to you. Our super-friendly staff looks forward to welcoming you to this great city!

It was an experience where I learned a lot, both in the hospitality field and on a personal level.
It’s important to note that it’s a lot of work, and if you don’t complete the 21 hours, you have to pay the hostel. The good thing is that it’s located in a central area, making it easy to get around and explore.

I had an amazing experience at Clarence Park Hostel! It was incredible meeting people from all over the world and exchanging stories and cultures. The atmosphere was so welcoming, and the staff made sure everything was comfortable. It’s definitely a place I’d recommend to anyone looking to make new connections while traveling!

Other than the unorganized start my stay was perfect. The location of the hostel is great, with almost everything being in a walkable distance and a beautiful view of the cn tower. There are lots of cool and interesting people to meet and talk to. Work was what I expected hostel work to be and is easily doable.

My experience at Clarence Park was very good. The work can sometimes be hard but it's worth it because the location is ideal (in the heart of Toronto) and you can make incredible encounters because there are many volunteers. If you are someone organized and hardworking, this volunteering is made for you, because I prefer to warn you, it is a very big hostel so sometimes you can feel a lot of pressure. It was my first volunteer and my real first work experience and I assured, so everyone can get started.

Volunteering at The Clarence Park taught me about the different activities that a hostel does, from making breakfast to working in the laundry.
You have to work the agreed number of hours per week, otherwise you have to pay a fee for each hour you miss. But it's worth it because the hostel is very well located.
The experience helped me a lot to get in touch with people from different nationalities and to develop new skills. Thank you team at The Clarence Park!
