Urban Pop Hostel & BnB

A hostel is a perfect place to meet people from all around the world, so it could be a great cultural and linguistic experience! We can also teach him/her Italian language and culture while we work and live together, and give very good Italian cooking advice!

Our hostel is run by a family and our team is made of very nice and friendly people! It would be a pleasure for us to host someone and make him/her feel part of the family!

I had an amazing time volunteering at Urban Pop Hostel. I got to meet incredible people, form a beautiful community with the other volunteers, and Salvo and Reza were super welcoming hosts.
The communication from the beginning was excellent, with all the details about the workload and the hours, so there were no surprises. All the hours were respected and hot work but easy to handle.
The location was ideal, close to the center, and it was easy to travel around Sicily by bus.
It was my first wolrdpackers and I am so happy I got to spend part of my summer here I'll always remember it

Hi! The time that I spent in Urban Pop was lovely!! I’ve met amazing people (staff, volunteers and guests), had so muchh fun in the city and also in the hostel!
Sicilia is amazing! The work schedule allowed me to explore Catania after work and Sicilia in my days off. The schedule is really well organized and the work is not hard! Also Salvo and Reza are the sweetest, they are always available to help!
Highly recommend volunteering in Urban Pop! Big hugs to everyone

I had a wonderful time at urban pop and I’m gonna miss the hostel and especially the other volunteers!
It is in a great spot and is very easy to travel around Sicily.
The hostel work was agreed upon beforehand, it is hot work but after a week becomes more manageable and easier.
If your ready to work and enjoy Sicilian summer I recommend !!

My stay at the hostel was rewarding and challenging. The work was well explained and demanding, but I managed it with the team's support. I handled cleaning, reception, and laundry, each offering valuable learning. Breakfast was good but basic. The host treated me with respect, patience, and flexibility, even allowing me to stay extra days. Although I didn't join the tours and hikes, they occurred regularly. Overall, a great experience for those ready to work hard in a multicultural environment.

I spent 6 weeks at urban pop and i am very grateful for that. I met amazing people, lived with the best volunteers and had a chance to explore sicily a lot during my stay.
The work itself can be quite a lot, especially because theres no other permanent staff besides Reza and Salvo, however i was told the working schedule beforehand and everything was the same as Reza told me on the scheduled phonecall before my arrival. Overall I had a great experience 👍🏻
