La experiencia

We are looking for volunteers with real equine experience who want to develop their skills in horse behaviour, communication / understanding & equine enrichment projects . We aim to work from a positive reinforcement and ethical horsemanship perspective. You will also be involved in helping with the daily care of 37 ponies ( watering, feeding and mucking out) and also 18 rescue cats , 3 rescue dogs , a crazy goat and some chickens.

Programa detallado

Help alongside other volunteers supporting the activities of the farm and help care for and work with our friendly ponies and interactions with them and visitors.
Help with Equine agility activities, Interaction with visitors to our farm and the herd, Support our seminars with learning the body language of horses, and basic ground skill activities.

Actividades & Turnos

4.5 hours tasks a day .

In the Summer From Mid June to Mid September you either work a morning shift or an afternoon shift and have the rest of the day for yourself to explore.

Morning shift 7.30am to 1pm ( with a good hours break, for breakfast etc)
OR
Afternoon shift 4.30pm to 9pm ( with a refreshment break for 30 minutes)

In the Autumn Spring and winter we work a split shift - 3.5 hour in the morning and a 1 .5hour afternoon shift with lots of time in the middle of the day to rest , read, walk etc.

We will send you a very detailed project information description which details volunteer life, tasks, accommodation, the area and its interests, food etc at our project and a volunteer application form.
