Seeking a couple , preferably in their thirties/ forties to help with 3 vacation rentals , May to October 2027. Large, beachfront property 15 km from the port town. Cleaning , housekeeping, washing / ironing, some garden maintenance. About 4 hours daily, 6 days a week. Self contained accommodation with bathroom / kitchen. Small stipend offered against food. Good internet , limited use of the property car, but better bring your own if possible.

Panteli is a truely Iconic Greek man, who Is easy going, wise and a good laugh. I loved my 3 weeks with him at his Large local property, right on the beach and far enough out of town for a bit of peace and quiet. The days would normally consist of waking Up to a coffee and one of his iconic toasties, then getting into a little bit of work such as setting up the air bnbs for new guests, gardening and maintenance around the property. Knocking off before it gets to hot and sometimes doing a little bit of work in the afternoon, if Panteli wakes up from his Nap. Great man, great place. Loved it

I had a great time. Panteli is very welcoming, speaks perfect English, he makes you feel at home. He has stories to tell and he's always up for a conversation. The hours were respected, the work varied and done at a casual pace. As long as what needs to be done is done, there is no pressure or hurry. the farm is big and its location quite remote, perfect if you like the quiet. I had an especially great time during the olive harvest, as the family came to help for the weekend. A rewarding experience, both socially and professionally. N.B.: you'll get bonus points if you play ping-pong !

Sadly, I cannot recommend Panteli as a host. The responsibilities I initially agreed to kept expanding, and when I asked for explanation, he responded with anger: “Don't ask so many questions. Just do it, and if you do it wrong, I'll tell you.” His attitude became increasingly condescending, especially toward women, eg judging an applicant's weight, saying, “I can't take this one, I couldn't feed her.” Although the location is beautiful, poor communication, shifting expectations, and disrespect overshadowed the experience. If you value mutual respect, avoid this host.

This helper craves constant attention and expects people to be impressed with her.
When this was not offered, she started to continuously ask for detailed explanations for the simplest things, like how to coil the garden hose, complained that her room did not have enough light, and instead of doing her daily chores, she spent an inordinate amount of time in the kitchen and on the internet "searching for recipes ".
On the third day she "fell ill" and stayed in bed for two days (no fever, she refused to have a doctor see her) .
After that she was asked to leave.
She sent me a few texts blaming me for ignoring her situation, and tried to tell me that all this was my fault.
She is high maintenance, opinionated, and will be probably difficult to adapt to the helpers requirements.
