Mi experiencia en este voluntariado fue muy buena, Will es un host presente y con disposición a ayudarnos en lo que pidiéramos, aunque esta ocupado con otros proyectos, nos escucho y apoyó en lo que queríamos lograr. Las horas en la escuela son más de las acordadas, pero si eres un voluntario motivado, puedes hacer muchas cosas distintas en la escuela, yo hice clases no solo de biología si no de más asignaturas, ayude en la cocina, etc. Thika también es un lugar muy agradable para estar, incluso ir a tomar una cerveza. Hice Safaris con la ayuda de Will. Fue una gran experiencia :)

La escuela Academy es un hermoso proyecto con un impacto social muy grande en la vida de las niñas, niños y adolescentes. Durante mi estadía pude realizar muchas actividades desde recreación, clases y hasta la construcción de un patio. Sin duda fue una experiencia que transformó mi vida ya que el proyecto es un espacio seguro para la comunidad escolar. Me gustaría destacar que para vivir la experiencia es importante es tener flexibilidad ya que la organización cambia según el acontecer y trabajar la comunicación asertiva para que puedas tener una buena estancia. Gracias por la oportunidad!

Buena experiencia con los niños, siempre es agradable jugar con ellos y tuve una gran oportunidad de diseñar y construir un espacio abierto para ellos casi si ningún problema. La organización y la comida podrían mejorar.

William and his family was a brilliant host they made me feel like one of there own from the very first day . the the school is a magical place which you will straight away fall in love with more than you can ever imagine I loved teaching all the children . I miss everyone so much and can't wait to return . Thank you for the best few weeks of my life

I had a wonderful time in at the the school Academy in Thika with William's family. William really treats you like family and wants you to have a really good experience there. He has hosted over 100 volunteers so his family is very experienced with these experiences. William has an amazing and clear vision/plan for where he wants to take this project and he's very open about all the details and challenges that go into it. the the school has lovely students who are very excited to learn. the the school has a special welcome/goodbye parties for you. I miss everyone so much! Thank you William!

We made history together. I stayed for 2 months in the the school Will was definitely the best host I could have had. I was treated like family the whole time. We got the chance to fundraise, teach kids, be part of the NGO management, negotiate land, meet families, donors, kids - it was like and MBA in international development. Also we started to build a sustainable model for the the school, so it wouldnt depend only on donations. Will is a very intelligent person with a lot of street knowledge. Also he took me to some amazing sights in Kenya like Maasai Mara and Nakuru lake.

I do not recommend this volunteering. Most of the agreements I made with William were not fulfilled. I did not teach, as he said. I did not help organizing the the school, as he said. I did not help with new the school projects, as he said. The only help that will be appreciated in here is how much money you can give or get by finding sponsors for the the school. Money which is not invested in the the school. It is expected from you to share all you do in your personal social media. We agreed I will stay for two months, however, William asked me to leave during the second week. Accommodation and food were ok.

The volunteer was an amazing experience! When I got there I realized all the kids were just willing for love and attention. Also, the girls don't have the same opportunities as the boys, so I had the insight to create a new project: Girls empowering. I truly believe that this project is gonna do well as it's already making positive things in there lives. William and his family made me feel like a member, I really love than..if you have any questions about anything can keep in touch with me!

Mary treated me like a family member. I feel really well and we had a lot of fun together. They are open for all help and we laughed a lot together with the kids. Thank you for the lovely stay!!!
