Pasar tiempo en el refugio de Helen ha sido una experiencia increíble. Originalmente postulé para estar 3 semanas, y me quedé más de 2 meses. Al principio cuesta un poco recordar la rutina y los nombres de los perros, pero al poco tiempo se transforma en una actividad muy cómoda ya que los perros son todos geniales y lo hacen todo mucho más sencillo y, sobre todo, divertido. Helen estuvo siempre presente para lo que necesitamos, tanto en la tarea cotidiana como en las necesidades básicas viviendo en el refugio. Seguro volveré!

La experiencia en the shelter es de crecimiento y aprendizaje, y mucho amor por los perritos. Siempre hay comida disponible para preparar y el trabajo es lo descrito, aunque ahora el tiempo puede ser unos minutos más de las 5 horas indicadas, pues la cantidad de animalitos aumenta, pero ellos lo valen. Fue una buena experiencia como primer voluntariado.

La experiencia en el refugio, fue maravillosa, los perros son adorables te transmiten mucho amor, las tareas se realizan en 2 jornadas en las cuales se alimentan, limpian y pasea los perros, disfrutas los paseos con los perros son muy amorosos, es un lugar muy tranquilo conectas con la naturaleza, hay cherrys y moras por toda parte, nos sentimos muy felices alli. Nuestra experiencia , fue positiva, nos encontramos con voluntarios de muchos lugares. El trabajo es facil, el horario es de 7a10am y de 15a17pm aprox. y se trata de alimentar, pasear y realizar tareas de mantenimiento, como arreglar la cerca. Hay que tener en cuenta que en la casa de voluntarios, siempre se tiene que encontrar una parsona, turnándose entre los mismos que vivan ahí, por cualquier problema que surja. En cuanto a la comida, realiza una compra por semana y es variada. Ambas cumplimos años en la estadía y Helen fue muy amable e hizo que nuestros dias fueran especiales.

Repetiría sin duda este voluntariado! Los perros son todos súper cariñosos y te enamoras de ellos en el minuto 1. Las tareas son fáciles, aunque los primeros días seguramente sea más complicado para acordarte de todos los nombres de los perros y donde están situados, pero luego todo es más fácil!

Estuvimos muy a gusto en este lugar, hicimos un gran equipo de trabajo con los otros voluntarios y la anfitriona, que siempre estuvo pendiente de nosotros. Helen fue amigable, cumplió con todo lo pactado y nos enseñó muchas cosas sobre el cuidado de los perros. la casa es muy cómoda y tiene paisajes muy bonitos. Los perros son amorosos y de fácil cuidado. Hay que tener en cuenta para los otros voluntarios que el traslado desde vratsa a la casa cuesta 30 levas si la anfitriona no está disponible para recogerlos. Volveríamos nuevamente porque fue una experiencia 10/10

If you are a dog lover and looking for a way to contribute meaningfully to so many beautiful lives, look no further! At the shelter, you will have plenty of opportunity to get to know the dogs while living on site at the sanctuary. The dogs have a good routine and the tasks are easy enough to manage if you are already familiar with dogs. There are some stronger dogs that pull and/or jump, so being dog confident is beneficial. A month at HHOH truely changed me and my perspective to street/stray animals, and for that, I am truely grateful! I really the shelter to return one day. :)

Well, I've been here for a month and two weeks and today I'm leaving. I wanted to say that Helen is amazing, a person with a giant heart and just to help the animals she would do anything. I don't regret coming and I the shelter the next volunteers enjoy it as much as I do. The routine is easy, it can be a little tiring but you get the hang of it right now. The volunteers I've been with have been a sweetheart with me and the truth is that you have a great time. Thank you very much Helen and thank you very much for doing what you do. The dogs are amazing ❤️😘.

I loved my time with the dogs. Although the work was hard and sometimes tired, everyone was very kind and patient with me. Helen is wonderful and empathetic with all the volunteers, and it's clear she loves the sanctuary dogs a lot. It's definitely an experience I recommend if you truly like these animals and want to help, because she makes a truly difference to those homeless dogs, it's amazing. I'm very grateful for the treatment and she always made sure that everything was alright. I'm sure that if I have the chance I would repeat it, I enjoyed everything 💖

I'm not a dog person, so the first two days I was a bit shocked. But then, once I got used to the environment and the routine, I loved it! Dog are very lovely. Helen is a truly amazing host. We met her almost every morning for feeding and she also invited us a few times to her place for dinner and to a bar to meet her friends. The only two things that could have made my stay nicer were better relationship with one of the other volunteers and the opportunity to discover serroundigs as Bulgarian countryside is not very pretty. But of course, this is not the shelter or anyone's fault. So I recommend.
