Aurora es una joven increíble. Realmente disfrutamos de su compañía. Desde el momento en que ella entró por la puerta, se integró de inmediato. Ella fue muy callada al principio, pero se sintió cómoda con todos en muy poco tiempo. Esperamos con certeza que ella disfrute el resto de su visita a Canadá. I had a great time at Ray and Cécile's cabin. I stayed there for three weeks, and it was an amazing experience. I met many of their friends, and everyone made me feel very welcome. We did some woodworking projects, including building a deck and cutting down small trees, which I really enjoyed. I also loved riding the quad and watching the beautiful sunsets.
I highly recommend staying at Ray and Cécile's cabin if you want to connect with nature and meet local people.

Me alojé con Ray en su hermosa casa de troncos durante tres semanas y lo pasé increíble!! Vimos muchísima fauna local y pudimos conducir motos de nieve y cuadriciciclos por su enorme propiedad. Ray es un placer estar cerca y un gran anfitrión, y podrás conocer a muchos de sus amigos, todos geniales, que te dejarán una gran impresión de la comunidad local. Definitivamente recomendaría la casa de huéspedes a cualquier viajero que busque una experiencia canadiense auténtica :)

One of the best experiences of my life. Ray and Cécile gave me a wonderful welcome. I had the opportunity to discover the life of a real Canadian family and learn about Canadian culture, as well as water skiing. Ray introduced me to everything he knew about nature and Canada. I felt like part of their family during my trip. I felt comfortable, and they always knew how to help me through good times and bad. A big thank you to them for everything.

It was such an amazing experience at Ray&Cecile's cabin. They are very friendly and generous, making me feel at home. They are friends with lots of nice local people and I got to meet many. Work wise, it wasn't busy because it was TOO COLD(-30/-20), and tasks were very easy: mainly, maintaining the fire, and some heavy lifting for bits delivery. I could visit and learn about oil rigs. I enjoyed watching hockey (and running the PB) and riding a quad and a snowmobile, which I found myself to be a terrible driver lol, but I really enjoyed it! It was a very CANADIAN experience. Ray and Cecile are the best! I flew in from Mexico (no winter clothes), and Ray lent me his—total lifesaver. It was Christmas/New Year's, so the "work" was just fun chores like gathering firewood and keeping the house cozy, with Tish, Nucho, and Shadow always around. Delivering drill bits with Ray was a blast—lots of ranches, wildlife (owls, deer, coyotes), but still no moose, sadly. Snowmobiling was the funniest—I fell, and poor Ray got tossed off behind me, oops! 😂 Ray is such a kind soul, always helping others. Wishing them all the best—such an awesome experience!

It was two months in contact with nature, learning to take care of the flowers, learning to smile in the less good times, thanks to Ray and Cecile for their hospitality and patience for not mastering English, it was a journey from outside to inside that I will never forget, thanks for the empathy in my processes.

I had a great time at Rays place. He was very nice and always tried to make the best out of my stay and made sure I felt good and comfortable. We had a lot of fun and did some great adventures like snowmobiling or a little tour with his quads, we also played a lot of cards and visited some great icehockey games. I also got to see the northern lights which was a dream come true!! All of the people I met during my time at his place were super friendly and welcoming. It's a great place to get in touch with nature and get away from your busy life. Thank you for the unforgettable time!
