The Experience

We are a waterski club. Our main chores will be mowing grass, watering flowers, light construction, gathering of firewood, possibly boat driving, household chores, and many light-duty chores... our main goal for the fall and winter is to finish the interior of our clubhouse... we teach waterskiing from beginner to competitive from trick skiing, slalom skiing to barefoot skiing! I live alone!

I had a great time at Rays place. He was very nice and always tried to make the best out of my stay and made sure I felt good and comfortable. We had a lot of fun and did some great adventures like snowmobiling or a little tour with his quads, we also played a lot of cards and visited some great icehockey games. I also got to see the northern lights which was a dream come true!! All of the people I met during my time at his place were super friendly and welcoming. It's a great place to get in touch with nature and get away from your busy life. Thank you for the unforgettable time!

The house and surroundings are wonderful with breathtaking views of the lake and woods. The house is cozy, clean, and comfortable. The pets - Tish, Nacho, and Shadow - are very cuddly. The host, Ray, is generous, offering food and organising activities like snowmobile rides. However, work activities lack organization, and the host prefers to supervise closely. Menial tasks like wood fetching and cleaning don't fill much time and there's no public transport to and from the house. Additionally, there were some uneasy situations, prompting me to leave early.

Vanessa is a sweet young lady not afraid to take on any tasks..she came to us for 10 days and stayed almost 5 weeks. We really enjoyed her company and wished she would have stayed longer. We want to wish her luck in her next endeavours and remember Vanessa the door will always remain open for you if you should want to come back. I know you want to travel till you’re 41 and hopefully your dream will come true. We got to do many different things that was all new to her like quadding ,snowmobiling and making firewood. Vanessa stay the way you are and good things will continue to happen to you. I can strongly recommend Vanessa to any worldpackers host. She’s a super young lady. Wishing you the best Ray.

It was my first experience as a Wwoofer and I stayed during 7 weeks at Ray and Cécile's place. I was very welcomed by Ray and Cécile, their friends and family which are so nice and kind. They will always be there to help you or teach you new skills. As a curious person it was a great opportunity to share with Ray different tasks, there were always a new job/activity to do and enjoy, and every day was different from the previous one. So I would like to end on these words : Merci beaucoup
