This is a great experience for nature and animal lovers! I got the chance to ride and loved hanging out with the dogs every day. Jin Kyung is a soft-hearted person who clearly cares a lot about her animals and her volunteers. She always made sure I had everything I needed. The work was exactly as is described on the profile. I had basically no prior experience with this kind of work but the staff were happy to show me everything I needed to know!

I'm not going to lie it is very hard work, you have to love animals and it's mostly caring for them, not riding them. I got to help during school classes with the horses which was awesome and developed a very intimate relationship with the team. I learned a lot about Korean culture and cuisine. But this is not an experience if you are in Korea for sightseeing this is an experience to help animals and people and to really get to know the culture. If you're looking for a free ride, this is not the place.

I had an amazing time at the farm riding school. The team needs some time to warm up to you but then you have a new family! Everyone was so sweet and helpful, they really want to best for you. You have to be prepared to work hard, there is a lot to do and to learn! Besides working hard you have alot in return: amazing food, a lot of fun with everyone and a really local feeling. All in all a place that I will never forget ❤️

My one and only advice: go there! Jinkyung and her team are so so so welcoming and adorable and you really become part of the family if you stay for a while~ traditional food everyday for lunch and dinner, going to play 8-ball, 노래방 and many other things <3 even though the work is physically hard it is also very rewarding and you get to know many people here, showing you different perspectives and experiences!! Truly a wonderful place if you are willing to work hard ^^ the fruits of your labor are more than you could imagine~ If that didn't convince you : we have dogs and a cat hehe :D

Where to start... I started working mornings and afternoons and after a few days I was tired, we had no free time for sightseeing or going to the city, after deciding to take 2-3 afternoon off Jinkyung's attitude towards me changed. Also, there was a tense atmosphere with the Korean group and volunteers. i could write many more things… so I don't recommend this place. they need to change a lot of things to make it a pleasant place to go.

I was very excited to work with horses and help the locals. However, the tasks we had agreed upon didn't match what I actually had to do. The Korean team kept expecting the volunteers to do more and more, and even when I did, they made me feel like it was never enough. After a while, I thought I would become part of the team, but instead, the Korean team ignored me and even talked behind my back. As a result, I didn't feel comfortable at all and became emotionally and physically exhausted. It could be such a nice place but the korean team just isn't willing to put in the effort.

When I first applied to the farm, one of the reasons were because of the comments left by other volunteers. They were what drew me in and made me apply. When I arrived it was sadly not like this anymore. So if you also want to go on account of the older comments, just keep that in mind. The workers are all very nice, but will need time to open up to you. The work load is hard, but manageable if you are more people. It was fun to try new and delicious foods. The only thing I wish I had done was take more days off, to go explore, because you will use most of your time on the farm

This experience was by far the most unpleasant from all my previous ones. The horses are lovely and you get to try local cuisine. It was not the hard work as much as the lack of respect and appreciation. The environment was not friendly or welcoming, and there was a lot of tension within the Korean team. It is important to note that the account is managed for the host, which naturally leads to misunderstandings. There was false advertising of the position, as per riding and the working hours. I would recommend the host to review the concept of volunteering and get a better understanding of it

Querida Sophie, gracias por tu reseña. Lamentamos que la experiencia haya sido desagradable para ti. Hicimos todo lo posible para atenderte a ti y a tus necesidades. Cada persona tiene un estilo de comunicación diferente, por lo que es normal que el equipo necesite tiempo para adaptarse a los nuevos voluntarios. Teníamos problemas de personal que ya se han resuelto, sin embargo nos disculpamos porque esto afectó tu estadía. Como con todos los que vienen, preguntamos si los voluntarios están bien con trabajar jornadas completas y nunca imponemos jornadas completas de trabajo a nuestros voluntarios. Cuando se trató de tus días libres y de medio día, el equipo te empujó mucho a hablar con Jinkyung, pero tú seguiste posponiéndolo. En cuanto a la equitación, les dijiste a todos cosas distintas. A veces dijiste que querías hacerlo, pero otras veces dijiste que no tenías ningún interés en montar aquí. Por eso nuestros otros voluntarios no tomaron la iniciativa de organizar lecciones de equitación para ti. Te deseamos lo mejor en tus viajes, Team JK.
