Hostel Bad Salzig es un pequeño hostal para hasta ocho huéspedes. Justo al lado del Hostel hay ocho alpacas a las que también puedes ayudar (revisar el heno y el agua, limpiar los establos o unirte a excursiones guiadas). The hostel needs a proper cleaning after a checkout which includes cleaning the bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living room as well as doing laundry. As it is only a small hostel the chores usually do not take longer than an hour / hour and a half which leaves plenty of free time.
Taking care for alpacas includes checking hay and water, making sure the fence line is okay, taking care of the pasture (picking up leaves in Autumn,...) and mucking out. But don't worry - the poo-picking doesn't take longer than 10 minutes. Linda offers alpaca trekking tours with Eumel, Charlie, Nelson, Alfie, Leo, Oscar, Lou and Theo. It's a great experience and a great opportunity to meet new people. You're always welcome to join these tours! :)
As soon as the chores are done you have the rest of the day off to do some sightseeing, hiking or just relaxing. We are based in a rural region right in the middle of the beautiful middle Rhine Valley. It's the perfect surrounding if you're interested in outdoor activities such as hiking.
The next bigger city close to us is Koblenz. Its only 20 minutes by train. Frankfurt is a 90 minutes train ride. Boppard, another small Holiday Town is only 5 minutes away. So, there is plenty of opportunities for you to sitesee! You are also welcome to join the almost daily alpaca trekking tours.
