Mi estancia en Husky Dreams fue una experiencia única y educativa. Aprendí mucho sobre el comportamiento de los perros y cómo cuidarlos, que era mi objetivo principal al hacer voluntariado aquí. Husky Dreams ofrece una experiencia muy intensa y única, cerca de la naturaleza, trabajando a diario con muchos huskies y siendo parte de la vida del trineo de perros en Laponia. El trabajo es físicamente exigente pero gratificante, y tuve mucha suerte con el grupo de voluntarios, cuyo apoyo y orientación hicieron que la experiencia fuera verdaderamente especial. Sin embargo, la organización y la comunicación pueden ser desafiantes. Durante mi estancia, dos voluntarios y un trabajador fueron obligados a irse de forma repentina sin previo aviso debido a “errores”, lo que me pareció muy duro dada la supervisión. Más adecuada para personas flexibles e independientes.

Husky Dreams ofrece una experiencia ártica verdaderamente única: paisajes hermosos, amaneceres largos, auroras boreales, paseos en trineo de perros y trabajar a diario con alrededor de 50 perros, cada uno con su propia personalidad. Aprendí mucho y conocí a voluntarios de muchos países. Sin embargo, el dueño suele estar ausente y parece estar atravesando dificultades personales, lo que actualmente afecta la organización y la comunicación. Todavía me estoy quedando en Husky dreams porque decidí extender mi estadía por 2 semanas!
Lo pasé muy bien en Husky dreams en estos últimos 2,5 meses! Aprendí mucho sobre perros de trineo y este estilo de vida tan único; pude manejar un ATV, una moto de nieve y un trineo; ayudé con distintas tareas relacionadas con los perros, como alimentarlos, limpiar los kennels, preparar para recorridos/entrenamientos, etc.
Definitivamente es importante que estés físicamente en forma y seas capaz de manejar perros fuertes, y hacer muchas preguntas. Hasta ahora ha sido una gran experiencia de aprendizaje personal y definitivamente puedo recomendarlo :)

Thank you so much Sanne and Per for a wonderful month with 48 huskies. This is such an unforgettable experience and I'll miss sweet baby Obee a lot. Highly recommended this experience for other volunteers! The hosts are incredibly nice and welcoming. The home is cozy and lovely. And the dogs are simply adorable 💖

My stay at husky dreams during the summer was incredible. From cuddling dogs, cleaning and fixing a few things around the property. It was a good balance. Sanne was always making shure we were ok and Per is a really good cook. I already miss being surrounded with dogs all day long. I'm also grateful to Sanne who enabled me to be creative and shared her thoughts with me.

I truly have no words to describe the incredible opportunity I had working at Husky Dreams. Thank you, Per, Sanne, and all the amazing volunteers I met for making me feel at home the entire time. These four months have been full of hard work, but I would do it all over again a hundred times. A special thanks to the dogs, my bananas for taking me all over with the sled and keeping me company whenever I was feeling down. This was a life changing experience that not only disciplined me but also offered me endless days of fun and breathtaking scenery.

I had a great time at Husky Dreams! 43 dogs that I miss. 43 very strong and beautiful bananas that give you a lot of love and kisses. Per and Sanne are very nice people, they made sure I felt at home and always worried if I was okay. Volonteers rooms are very nice and clean, and plenty of food. Nice atmosphere also with the other volonteers. Thank you Till for making me breakfast every morning :) I highly recommend this experience. Thank you again Per and Sanne for everything and hope to see you and the dogs soon🫶

My two months at Husky Dreams were an incredible and unique experience. I loved to be surrounded by beautiful landscapes, northen lights and dogs. The dogs have all such great and unique personalities. You also learn a lot about them, the dogsledding and the work around it. The work can be hard during the high seasons but if you're willing to learn, work hard and are flexible with the working hours it will be very rewarding. I would recommend this experience and I hope to come back soon!
