Programa detallado

We are building bee houses, to establish a local bee colony, to eventually produce honey to eventually have cooperative sales to local businesses of Navajo honey. We hope to invigorate the community crops, help elders, and create ways to assist families struggling in our remote economic area. This region is heavily dependent on mining, we hope to help others get experience in the bed and breakfast industry, as well as cooperative farming and entry into farmer's markets. We are open to folks doing their own mini projects, and we have projects that we are working on. But bottom line if we all take turns doing various work around the business, we all can have time to do other things and that is the goal, really is to somehow work out a timeshare for the work periods, and time share projects. We enjoy socializing with volunteers and guests, together, we are very informal of a project.

Actividades & Turnos

For ourselves, we wake up in the morning and make coffee and invite the guests, cook meals for ourselves. We begin the day, saying goodbyes and start cleaning the tents, and the hogans. We prepare the wood, and coal, gather the sheets, and water, and then we go to each tent or hogan. We remove the sheets, and check the blankets and change them when necessary. Once a week or twice a week we go to the laundry to clean everything and fold, bring back and store them. We make sure the tents are swept and mopped. The hogan we sweep the floor lightly and sprinkle water on the earth floors to cool the earth and to tamper down the dust. We check the outhouses to make sure they are clean. We check the solar shower to make sure its in good shape, and mop the rocks with cleaning disinfectants. We put the used towels into the laundry. And then we do everything else ha!

One of the highlights of the Worldpackers experience is the security. And we take that seriously. It is very important that all the conversations and confirmation steps are made through the Worldpackers' platform. By doing this, hosts and the travelers can review each other and get 24h support.
