I had a great time in the lodge and learned a lot through a variety of tasks, from taking care of the chickens to cooking for guests. The workload was fair, although sometimes physically demanding because of the heat. Gaia is very kind, patient, and always attentive to volunteers' needs. I'm giving 4 stars because, during my last weekend, volunteers weren't provided with a proper place to rest. However, Gaia acknowledged the mistake and sincerely apologized. the lodge is also a wonderful place to meet people from all over the world, and the friends I made there made this experience unforgettable.

I'llto start off by saying Gaia and his family are absolutely wonderful people who made us feel welcome at the lodge. He's very good to talk to if you have any problems and reasonable when it comes to solutions. However, The work load was a lot, though do take into account that this was my first experience, but the level of perfection he expected from us at times was unreasonable . Secondly we kept seeing members of the family naked around the pool (outside our kitchen). We were asked if we were comfortable with nudity to which we said not really but the wife would still swim naked.

Hey Crow, thank you for your kind words. It was great having you with us. I agree the work was demanding, especially in the scorching heat! But you stood up to the challenge.
As for the "perfectionism" when we clean the rooms, it is important to me that guests find it clean. Sometimes you had to return to redo the rooms, but please know it was not for my pleasure, but to make sure they guests will be pleased
As for my naked wife in her own swimming pool, I leave it with a smile. :)

If your looking for a nice and quiet place to volunteer at, this is the place! Gaia is very friendly and will help you with any questions you have. I do recommend to maybe come with a car to just be a little more flexible to go where you want to, besides that great experience

Gaia is an incredibly respectful and accommodating host! He is very easy to communicate with, very fair and willing to compromise. He is also an excellent cook (ask him about the chickpeas…) As a young woman I felt completely safe the whole time, and I got to have some truly incredible experiences. Thank you so much, Gaia. I had the most lovely time on your property. Give Dori and Shanti (dog and cat) hugs for me!

Volunteering at the lodge was such a beautiful and unforgettable experience. The peaceful surroundings and the connection with nature make it the perfect place to be. Gaia is an incredibly kind and welcoming host who makes you feel at home right away and Dori and Shanti, the sweetest dog and cat add even more warmth to the place. I'm so grateful for the time I spent there. A piece of my heart will always stay at the lodge, it's a truly special place I'll never forget.

Definitely one of the best experiences of my life! The place is magical, with a lot of nature and a unique energy. All done with great care and affection by the host Gaia, which makes it even more special. I recommend it to everyone!

I had the most amazing time here. Gaia was the most amazing host, he was so respectful of working hours, took us for pizza, ice cream and to the lake, he was always clear about what was expected of us and was also a lovely person to talk to. Dori and Chante are also the cutest pets ever. I highly recommend this experience for anyone looking for a place to disconnect and relax and it will always hold a special place in my heart :)

My stay at the lodge was so wonderful and peaceful! Gaia and his family are kind and welcoming, and he would take us to local spots in the surrounding area some afternoons. The work is not difficult and the hours are respected. It is a bit far from the surrounding towns but they are easily accessible if you like to walk, which we did a couple of times:) It is a great opportunity to slow down, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, and meet some wonderful people. Thank you Gaia and Marketa for a great first volunteer experience!!

I had an amazing time volunteering at the lodge! Gaia is absolutely great, generous, and incredibly thoughtful. His family is lovely too, and made me feel so welcome. Gaia took us on local trips to the lake and to the best gelato spot. He respected the working hours and gave us a nice variety of tasks, which kept things interesting and enjoyable. The only small downside is the location, public transport isn't the easiest, and buses can be a bit tricky. But if you're into nature, peaceful walks, and stunning Tuscan views, you'll love it here. Highly recommend!

This place is incredible, surrounded by nature. Every day feels different if you know how to make the most of it and live life to the fullest. I felt like it was my real home. ... My experience was very pleasant. I met and made many friends. Gaia's family is very kind and friendly. I loved their pets, which are very cute. I would definitely return to this place. Thank you!
