Your workdays will vary each week. On the days you work, you'll have breakfast with us and can also join the staff dinner 😊 After your shift, you get two free drinks (beer/wine/soft drinks). On the other days, you get discount on the drinks at our bar.

Actividades & Turnos

During the night shift, you ensure that the premises are properly and neatly closed and that people follow the rules at night (keeping quiet when they return from the pub, haha). Your shift starts at 10 PM. You begin with a round through the hostel. Is there enough toilet paper? Are the showers and toilets clean? Is the kitchen spotless? Then you help out at the bar of our hostel. This includes restocking drinks, taking out the trash, collecting glass, and, if needed, making drinks and taking orders. Once the bar closes (before midnight on weekdays, around 1 AM on weekends), you help with cleaning and tidying up. After that, you close the bar, do another round through the hostel, and then go to sleep (or do whatever you like, as long as your somewhere in the hostel). You take the hostel phone with you, as well as a tablet with cameras monitoring the common areas. If someone locks themselves out, they can call the hostel phone, and you can let them in. When people are loud at night, you tell them to be quiet. All guests sign a form with the house rules when they check-in.

In the morning, your shifts start at 07.15. You check the hostel again; is there toilet paper in every toilet? Are the bathrooms still clean? Nothing weird happened in the hostel? At 07.30 you open the front door for your kitchen colleague and until 09.00 you help them opening the bar.

Reglas

The house rules for the guests are the same for our colleagues. We treat each other with respect and have a zero tolerance policy. You’re not aloud to use drugs or drink alcohol during your shift.
