¡Tuve un tiempo realmente agradable en la casa de huéspedes! Pude trabajar en un pequeño proyecto creativo, lo cual fue muy divertido y realmente aprecié tener la libertad de organizar mi tiempo. También disfruté hacer senderismo y tener un tiempo tranquilo para mí. Ryu y Chiharu son ambos muy amables y acogedores y siempre puedes acudir a ellos si tienes alguna pregunta. Realmente amé meus dois meses aqui 🥰 rodeado pela natureza e pelo tranquilo campo. Depois de meses viajando pelo Japão, pareceu uma reconexão real e um segundo lar. Ryuchi e Chiharu são incrivelmente gentis e carinhosos, sempre cuidando do nosso bem-estar. Adorei trabalhar aqui, fazendo limpeza e arrumando as camas; foi muito relaxante. Compartilhamos momentos incríveis com os outros voluntários, desde noites de gyoza caseiras até churrascos e peixe ao fogo. Vou sentir falta deste lugar e de todos! Definitivamente voltarei para a casa de hóspedes 🫶 Até breve, Ryuchi, Chiharu e Hina-Chan 🐐🏡🫶

Mi experiencia en la casa de huéspedes fue increíble. Mi primera tarea de voluntariado y fui recibido con tanto entusiasmo y emoción. Ryu y Chi fueron muy atentos y amables. El establecimiento es agradable y cómodo. Conocí a personas maravillosas aquí y fui a muchos festivales. Uno de mis momentos favoritos fue la noche de gyoza. Una actividad tan divertida y deliciosa. Fue agradable pasar unas semanas allí, entre el centro de Asahikawa y Biei; pudimos disfrutar de los festivales de verano por la zona. Los anfitriones son amables, principalmente interactué con Chiharu, que es muy acogedora y amable. Principalmente aprendí a hacer las tareas de limpieza y a montar las camas con los otros voluntarios, así que no puedo decir si Chi y Ryu son buenos explicadores. El agua tiene mucho hierro, no estoy seguro de que sea tan buena para la salud; dos voluntarios tuvieron problemas de piel, tal vez no por esto, pero probablemente no ayudó. Hay muchos insectos, incluso dentro de las casas.

I had a lot of of fun! Chi and Ryu are awesome hosts, super friendly and welcoming, and flexible with the schedule! The work is varied, mostly cleaning and sometimes helping with chores. They did takoyaki night, took us hiking and to an onsen, and had a few BBQ nights which was amazing! The area is very rural but they have bikes and a scooter you can use to explore or get groceries, and Asahikawa is not far away by train if you want to go to the city. It's the perfect place if you want a laid-back trip in the countryside! There's no AC in the staff dorm in summer but lots of fans.

I really enjoyed my stay at the the guest house. Ryu and Chi are wonderful hosts; kind, welcoming, and easy to talk to. The work mainly involves gardening, weeding, and cleaning the guest houses, and it's usually finished by 1 or 2 pm. Volunteers have access to bicycles and a motorbike, which makes it easy to explore the beautiful surroundings, full of farms and flower fields. If you enjoy being outdoors and don't mind doing some yard work, I highly recommend this opportunity!

Totonu place is a cosy and cute place in Hokkaido countryside where the wonderful landscape are a true break from the big cities of Japan. Work was really chill, we helped at housekeeping gardening and decorate the place with paints ! Thank you so much Ryuji and Chiharu for hosting us, spending good time bringing us around <3

We had a wonderful time! The food parties (Takoyaki & Gyoza night) were so much fun, and the hike with Ryu was a highlight. Spending time with Chi made everything even better. Work started with cleaning, later shifted more to gardening, plus helping with their house renovation. We also loved using the bikes and scooter provided. Just note that the area is very rural—having a car is highly recommended to fully enjoy beautiful Hokkaido!
