I had a really lovely time at the the guest house! I got to work on a small creative project, which was a lot of fun and I really appreciated having the freedom to organize my time. I also enjoyed going hiking and having some quiet time for myself. Ryu and Chiharu are both very kind and welcoming and you can always come to them if you have any questions. I really enjoyed my stay and recommend this volunteering! :)

I truly loved my two months here 🥰 surrounded by nature and the peaceful countryside. After months of travelling around Japan, it felt like a real reconnection and a second home. Ryuchi and Chiharu are incredibly kind and caring, always looking after our well-being. I loved working here, doing housekeeping and making beds it's was very relaxing. We shared amazing moments together with the other volunteers, from homemade gyoza nights to BBQs and fish by the fire. I'll miss this place and everyone so much! I'll definitely come back to the guest house 🫶 See you soon Ryuchi, Chiharu and Hina-Chan 🐐🏡🫶

My experience at the the guest house was incredible. My first volunteer gig and was received with so much enthusiasm and excitement. Ryu and Chi were both very accommodating and kind. The establishment is nice and comfy. I met wonderful people here and went to many festivals. One of my favorite moments, was gyoza night. Such a fun and delicious activity. Thank you Ryu and Chi for this unforgettable experience.

It was nice to spend a few weeks there, in between Asahikawa center and Biei, we were able to enjoy the summer festivals around the place. The hosts are nice, I mostly interacted with Chiharu who's really welcoming and kind. I mostly learned how to do the tasks as cleaning and assembling the beds from the other volunteers so I can't tell if Chi and Ryu are good explainers. The water has a lot of iron, not sure it's that good for health, two volunteers had skin problems, maybe not because of this but it probably didn't help. There are a lot of insects, even inside the houses.
