We had a great time at the hostel. It's a really social spot and so it's easy to make friends as there are different events every night. The work we signed up for wasn't what we ended up doing, we signed up to paint murals but instead ended up doing reception. But It was easy and the people were nice, it was a good way to get to know everyone staying there! It is now a home from home for us and we can't wait to go back

I had an awesome time volunteering at the hostel! The team - Manza, Chenon, Michenne and Kumar were all lovely and the travellers I met there became friends for life. the hostel has a really great social atmosphere with lots of events happening and a fun, inclusive atmosphere. Great place to spend some time volunteering :)

I was in here for short time but already felt like part of family. It's a social hostel. Manager Manza created a great place. There was more volunteers. I like the bunk. It's clean and tidy always. Family dinners on Wednesday is just perfect. I will definitely ask them again to volunteer if I am coming to Sri Lanka back. Working time is flexible you can schedule with Manza. Lots of party place near by. So don't think twice just come experience this great place.

The hostel was the best hostel where I've stayed so far and I loved painting murals here. I could do the work anytime I wanted and I had plenty of free time to learn surfing, or hang out with friends. Our room was very comfortable (we had AC and hot water). the hostel was very chill, everybody was friendly and we had programs like volleyball, games, family dinner and parties every day!! Thank you Manza and Chenann for welcoming me here and the opportunity to create some artworks in the hostel. It was an unforgettable time and I would definitely come back here!!

Hubo un pequeño malentendido con el anfitrión al principio, que se gestionó bien y el anfitrión fue flexible y acogedor. Por otras razones terminé haciendo voluntariado solo por 1,5 semanas en lugar de cuatro. El anfitrión entendió muy bien eso. En general tuve una buena experiencia de voluntariado y el hostal es muy sociable con gente encantadora!!

Lo he pasado muy bien en el albergue de surf. El albergue está bastante limpio. La cocina no es buena, y tampoco está completamente equipada. No hay forma de calentar la comida, excepto con una tetera. La nevera del personal tampoco funciona. Las habitaciones están bastante limpias y ordenadas, pero en general el albergue necesita un poco más de mantenimiento. Trabajé mucho más de lo que describía el blog de worldpackers y, para ser sincero, no mucho. En un momento hice redes sociales; estaban en socialhost y en recepción al mismo tiempo, solo por una cama. El anfitrión debe ser mucho mejor enseñando a su equipo. Para mí, fue increíble gracias a la gente.

Fue una gran experiencia poder conocer a otros viajeros y artistas de murales, y juntos creamos algunos murales geniales. La habitación en la que me alojé no tenía puerta, solo cortinas, y a veces el anfitrión y otros hacían fiestas justo detrás de la cortina, así que no era cómodo en ocasiones. Al principio tuvimos algunos problemas de comunicación con el anfitrión. El surf no era gratis y no había yoga. Así que espera pagar por todas las actividades y la comida cuando vayas. Y no había mucha privacidad en la habitación. Aparte de eso, fue divertido hacer algo de arte y empezar a aprender a surfear. ¡Si te gusta salir de fiesta, te encantará!

My experience at the hostel began positively: welcoming vibe, light tasks (off-season), and plenty of time to explore. the hostel was clean, with a great social space to meet others. Unfortunately, I left earlier than planned due to an uncomfortable situation that, as a woman, made me feel uneasy. I believe every volunteer deserves a respectful and safe environment, and certain comments simply shouldn't happen in a professional setting. I appreciated that when I voiced my concerns, they were supportive and understanding of my decision.
