J'ai adoré cette expérience, Arran est une belle île à explorer, il y a bien plus à faire et à voir là-bas que ce que je pensais, comme de nombreuses randonnées et des événements communautaires ! La maison a une vue incroyable et se situe à distance de marche de sentiers nature, de baignades à la plage, d'un arrêt de bus, d'une épicerie et de quelques bons pubs. Andrew a beaucoup voyagé et a plein d'histoires à partager sur ses voyages internationaux et l'Écosse, c'est donc un hôte très accueillant; je me suis senti comme chez moi rapidement. C'est aussi un bon adversaire d'échecs ! Les tâches liées au travail varient d'un jour à l'autre; j'ai aimé rencontrer les invités Airbnb et améliorer mes compétences en jardinage.

J'ai passé le moment le plus incroyable à faire du bénévolat à Cochno. Andrew est si gentil et compétent. J'ai vraiment apprécié travailler avec lui sur des projets tels que la construction du mur en pierre sèche. Chaque tâche me donnait l'impression d'apprendre une nouvelle compétence. Andrew m'a aussi montré de nombreuses randonnées fantastiques autour d'Arran et m'a donné d'excellents conseils pour mes jours de repos. Mes trois semaines ici se sont écoulées à toute vitesse et Arran me manque déjà. C'est un endroit magnifique, avec plein de choses auxquelles participer. J'ai vraiment apprécié partager les tâches de cuisine et apprendre à connaître Andrew et Petra. Ils ont été si accueillants dès mon arrivée. J'aimerais revenir à l'avenir.

My stay in the home during my volunteering with Andrew has been the most meaningful experience of my life. Arran is a wonderful and beautiful island where you can connect with nature, and from the moment I set foot in Lamlash, I have always felt at home. Andrew has been the best host I could have had! He is a fun, open-minded, understanding person who is always willing to help you with any questions you may have. The relationship with Andrew goes beyond host/volunteer; it is a friendship. Tasks include cleaning the rooms, maintaining the house and gardening. Arran is a 100% recommendable!

If you want an authentic taste of Scottish life, I highly recommend visiting the Isle of Arran. Andrew is a warm and welcoming host. During my stay, I helped in the community garden and learned about COAST, a local grassroots NGO focused on marine conservation. A was very flexible when I needed to work remotely and adjusted the schedule to suit us both. I also helped with housekeeping, painting, and some outdoor tasks—even tree pruning. The island's stunning coastlines and forests left a deep impression. Living here for a month was an honour, and I gained a richer understanding of Scotland.

My 3 months with Andrew was like living with my best friend in a magical place. Between laughter, traditional dances, good food, and beautiful views. Andrew is a very kind, friendly person and will always make you have a good time in his house.The tasks are very simple and he is always willing to help and explain everything. The island of Arran is beautiful, you never get tired of exploring it. My English is basic, but Andrew helped me improve it, he practiced with me every day. I met his girlfriend Petra, she is fabulous. They are a perfect duo to make you feel at home! I absolutely recommend

My experience in this volunteering was truly amazing. Andrew is a very kind and charismatic person, and during free time, we took advantage of going on hikes around the island since he knows some beautiful trails. If you want to connect with nature, this is the ideal place. Regarding the tasks, they were quite varied, whether it was gardening, cleaning, chopping wood, painting, and more. I learned a lot here; I would do it again. I got to meet his wife and several friends; everyone was very kind to me during this time. I will cherish fond memories of this place.
