The Experience

Hello, I am a marine conservationist living in a bungalow by the sea shore on the Isle of Arran, one of Scotland's most beautiful islands. The bungalow renovation, garden, and helping around the house are the main activities. I've volunteered myself and have spent years abroad volunteering with community and environmental groups. I understand volunteering has to work for everyone, be creative and make the most of it!

My experience in this volunteering was truly amazing. Andrew is a very kind and charismatic person, and during free time, we took advantage of going on hikes around the island since he knows some beautiful trails. If you want to connect with nature, this is the ideal place. Regarding the tasks, they were quite varied, whether it was gardening, cleaning, chopping wood, painting, and more. I learned a lot here; I would do it again. I got to meet his wife and several friends; everyone was very kind to me during this time. I will cherish fond memories of this place.
