My time at the organization & the organization, with Anish and his family, was an amazing experience. I had the chance to learn so many new things when it comes to dealing with children, learning them new things and also learning from them. The whole project makes sure that we as volunteers still have a lot of free-time for exploring the area, going to different places to enjoy culture and nature of Kerala. Also staying at Anish's home and his family, I felt super welcome and like a part of the family. I would recommend this experience to everybody who is in search of an authentic South Indian experience.

Mi è piaciuto davvero molto il mio mese di volontariato con l'organizzazione. Come parte del progetto, sono stato inviato alla Saint John's School, dove ho insegnato lezioni a bambini di età compresa tra 7 e 11 anni. Sebbene l'insegnamento non sia stato sempre facile perché l'inglese non è la loro prima lingua, è stata un'esperienza molto gratificante. Sono stato particolarmente felice di sentire che due dei miei 54 studenti sono diventati più sicuri nel parlare inglese e hanno ampliato il loro vocabolario. Grazie ad Anish e alla sua famiglia per la calorosa ospitalità durante il mio soggiorno. Consiglio questo progetto a chiunque cerchi una significativa esperienza di volontariato.

Olivia è stata una volontaria entusiasta e dedicata durante il suo periodo a Poornodaya. Ha partecipato attivamente a diverse iniziative e ha svolto un ruolo chiave come una delle maestre di cerimonia per uno dei nostri eventi principali, dimostrando sicurezza ed eloquenza. I enjoyed my time at the school Vidyanijethan spending time with the kids, the teachers & the other volunteer Asia. It was Summer Camp, so no specific classes, just 10-15 kids of varying ages to keep occupied, while also helping them learn in a fun manner. A bit daunting initially being expected to host the class but i soon settled in. Anish & Maya were fantastic & welcoming & sorted out any issues we had. Good fun!!

One of the most rewarding experiences of my life. After spending a beautiful month teaching yoga, I don't find enough words to express how happy I am to to support this incredible kind of projects. All the love you received from the children here is invaluable. The teachers and the staff treat me with respect and helped me during the process, everyone was so friendly and kind. You basically have the children all by yourself so is up to you to create a fun class with a learning purpose. The volunteers have their own house and lots of food. I will miss the kids so much, very hard to say goodbye.

Sri Nhat è una persona davvero ispiratrice che abilmente fonde yoga, attività all'aperto e un approccio compassionevole all'educazione. Il suo approccio unico non solo favorisce il benessere fisico, ma anche la crescita emotiva e mentale, rendendo le sue sessioni profondamente significative. La sua cordialità, la saggezza e la genuina passione di Sri Nhat nell'aiutare gli altri lo rendono un ospite e insegnante eccezionale. Volunteering at the school exceeded all my expectations. The children were lovely, eager to learn and made every lesson a joy. Tailoring lessons to different age groups was a rewarding challenge. The vegan meals were surprisingly delicious, and the flexibility with shopping added freshness to our meals. The simple accommodation was a comfortable retreat after busy days. But what truly made it exceptional was the warm community of dedicated volunteers and supportive staff. My time there was truly unforgettable.

Volunteering at the school exceeded my expectations. Anish and Maya have incorporated volunteer teachers into the vision they have for the school, so I felt as if my work made a real impact on the children. The teaching schedule is flexible - they listen to volunteer preference when assigning us to different students, class ages, and subjects. The volunteer accommodations are adequate, with personal bedrooms, a small common space, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a nice front-porch area. On the weekends, I was able to take trips around Kerala. The school food is delicious too!
