We expect our volunteers to be friendly and welcoming to all our guests and everyone in the team. I'm very hands-on and willing to help out as necessary but I expect volunteers to apply themselves during working hours as I will be absent from time to time so the volunteer will have to be able to work to their own initiative. We have documentation to help make the role easier in terms of standard email responses etc that need to be amended on a guest-by-guest basis. We need someone who is fluent in English in both writing and speaking.
Taking care of all bookings (emails/phone calls), checking in guests, helping out with housekeeping as necessary, potentially book tours for guests with our preferred partners.
Shifts are typically 8am-2pm with Tuesdays and Thursdays off.
We don't permit any smoking in rooms, no drugs on the premises.
Accommodation will be provided but room changes might be necessary based on bookings, room options are typically a dorm bed or a single room.
Any tours/activities can only be booked with our designated partners and not refer them to anyone not approved by us.
