Nice place to be. You can know a lot of people, the places is really beautiful and the people of Sammatz it's really kind. Sammatz people work too hard and so do the volunteers, however they usually respect the schedules.

The community is an interesting place to connect with yourself, other travelers, and the locals. The community members are kind and generous and are always willing to help you - if you speak up and ask for what you need!! Otherwise they may be too busy to unprompted ask you what you need. If you are looking to TRAVEL you might not be able to do that as much as you may think, but connecting with nature, yourself, and others is a great thing to do on the farm. Sammatz is such a big operation, that you and your needs may be overlooked if you don't speak up for yourself!

It was a good experience, a lot of contact with nature, and seeing how to works a community. It's 32h hours of work and cleaning the comun areas is a plus.

Both the place and the people are lovely. Most of the time the work was easy for me. At first I was confused by the timetable, because it was often split up, so I worked 2 hours in the morning, 2 hours in the afternoon and 2 hours in the evening. But there's not much to do around the community either, you can even cycle to a river. The Sammatz staff are very kind. There are tasks you can't like, in my case it's the garden, the longest I can stay is 2 hours lol. But that's up to everyone, some people don't like cleaning, I prefer it, I'm used to it in other jobs I've had.

Sammatz environment is not only a volunteer area but also a family environment. No matter how bad your English is, you can get along with people and no one judges you. This must be what a peaceful volunteering environment should be like

Ame estar aquí! Encontré hermosos lugares, hermosos seres y hermosas vivencias. Enamorada de este lugar y quienes las habitan. Encontré un hogar lejos de casa :) Espero verles se nuevo!!

For a first time volunteer this was the perfect experience. Not only it's a great community that integrates volunteers in fulfilling work but also promotes togetherness with extra activities. While having such a big group of volunteers at the same time, from different backgrounds and cultures can be challenging at times it can also be an excellent environment to practice ones English and social skills around a very inclusive group of people. We are all there for the same goal so we make connections and work together in a very organic way.
