Ho trascorso due settimane facendo volontariato; tutti i cani sono bene accuditi dal team dedicato. Amano davvero e si prendono cura di tutti i cani al centro e nell'area/templo locale.
Le mie giornate sono state dedicate a pulire la zona, aiutare con il cibo, lavare e far fare una passeggiata ai cani paraplegici del rifugio e tante coccole!
Da notare che potrebbe essere migliore per una coppia di volontari poiché è una zona abbastanza remota (detto questo mi sono goduto il mio tempo e non mi dispiace stare da solo :) ) e direi che è più facile se si va in scooter per muoversi.

Se ami il rifugio, hai voglia di una piccola routine, non ti dispiace vivere in una zona tranquilla e ti sporchi un po' a volte, probabilmente ti godrai questa esperienza tanto quanto me. Mi è piaciuto poter spazzolare, giocare, nutrire, passeggiare e fare la doccia al rifugio. Mi è anche piaciuto imparare come prendermi cura dei cani paraplegici del rifugio. C'era sempre qualcosa da pulire, da mettere in ordine, o altri modi per contribuire, quindi sembrava che il nostro aiuto avesse sempre un significato. Le signore che lavorano lì sono incredibilmente gentili e abbiamo avuto la fortuna di trascorrere del tempo con altri volontari, il che ha reso la nostra esperienza ancora più arricchente.

Ci siamo davvero goduti il nostro tempo al rifugio! Il rifugio è super dolce e facile creare legami con loro. I proprietari e lo staff si prendono davvero cura di tutti loro. Potremmo aiutare con la pulizia dell'area, a fare una passeggiata con i cani e durante l'ora dei pasti. Nel complesso, consigliamo l'esperienza!

Abbiamo trascorso un periodo meraviglioso facendo volontariato al rifugio Headrock Dogs Rescue e ci siamo sentiti ben accolti come parte del team fin dal primo giorno. Bang, Ohn, Franz e Franziska sono incredibilmente disponibili e fanno un lavoro straordinario. È meglio chiarire all'inizio con Verity quali compiti sei autorizzato a fare, poiché alcuni richiedono esperienza. I cani del rifugio sono molto dolci, ciascuno con la propria storia e personalità, e lavorare con loro è stato incredibilmente gratificante. Raccomandiamo vivamente di fare volontariato qui se ami i cani e vuoi aiutare - anche se è semplicemente dando loro amore, coccole e attenzione.

Mi è davvero piaciuto il mio soggiorno al rifugio. Il team con cui ho lavorato è stato molto gentile e mi ha fatto sentire il benvenuto. Lavorare con il rifugio è stata un'esperienza veramente gratificante. Sono tutti dolci, ben educati e chiaramente ben curati. La zona intorno al rifugio è anche un grande punto a favore. Si trova proprio accanto a una spiaggia tranquilla e bellissima dove puoi passeggiare con il rifugio e l'ambiente sembra tranquillo e rilassante. È un posto incantevole per trascorrere del tempo all'aperto, sia con il rifugio che da solo. In generale, mi sono divertito molto lì e lo consiglierei ad altri amanti dei cani.

The shelter was my very first WorldPackers experience and it was a truly wonderful way to start my first solo trip. the shelter are very special and welcoming. I was nervous to meet so many the shelter, but it got easy very fast. I did a mix between social media, gathering content, fundraising help, and taking care of the shelter. I was the only volunteer when I went, but I got a chance to meet and hang out with some of the locals there. The area is very beautiful and peaceful. Everyone was kind and welcoming which made me feel a lot more comfortable being far from home.

From the moment I arrived, I felt truly welcomed by Verity and Thep, who are not only dedicated to the shelter but also genuinely kind and inspiring people. The local team were equally friendly and made me feel part of the group. The work is physical and hands-on, but it never felt like a burden because you can see how much it matters to the shelter. Spending time with them every day, getting to know their personalities and seeing their progress was the most fulfilling part for me. This is a place where every bit of help makes a difference. I'm grateful I got to be part of it.

Volunteering at the shelter's Dog the shelter has been a rewarding experience. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed by the team and, of course, the most lovable group of the shelter. Each dog had their own unique personality and story, and it was great getting to care for them. The work was hands-on, meaningful, and filled with tail wags and cuddles. The deep bond between humans and animals is so special. That makes leaving bittersweet. I'm going to miss the doggies and their playful spirits. They've left a paw print on my heart, and I know I'll carry this experience with me always.

We spent 1 month at the shelter, and we could not have asked for a better experience. The team is incredibly dedicated and passionate about their work and about every single dog. the shelter are treated with love and care, and they make sure every dog gets proper medical attention. They really go above and beyond for not just the shelter in the shelter but also the temple the shelter. Bang, Ohn, Piak, Franziska and Franz, thank you so much for everything you've teached us and for making us feel like a part of the team. We miss you already. Verity and Thep, thank you for having us. The experience was exactly what I hoped for. I wish I had more time to spend here. You are involved in the day to day work from day 2 (first day is sitting with the shelter so they get comfortable with you). This allows you to see the highs and lows of dog the shelter life. As a short term volunteer you are helpful, but not crucial to the shelter operations, which is perfect. Note the description is incorrect as each day is 8:30-3:30 with an hour lunch (although none of those are hard times) with 2 days off per week as desired. The working hours allow for plenty of timing hanging out with the shelter.
