I had to be pushed out the door to leave this place! I loved every minute of it. From the moment I arrived, til when I left, I felt warm and welcomed into their space. I learnt so much from Sam, all about food, the environment, sustainability, running a successful resort, the list goes on and on. And James' knowledge of the area helped me hugely with getting about, either running or the guest house routes. I certainly have taken away a lot from this experience, one which I'll never forget. I hope to one day circle back here ❤️

I had an incredible experience in Corrèze. Sam and James are fun, helpful and patient and they explain all the tasks very clearly. The work itself is not complicated and the guests are lovely; some have been coming for years, which creates a really strong sense of community. In my free time, I could explore towns, had movie nights, visited local markets and enjoyed the amazing lake and pool just behind the house. This was my first volunteering experience and it will be very hard for anything to top this stay. I hope to return one day, either as a volunteer again or even a guest. <3

The small hotel is in nature, there is a pool and a lake in the garden. The work is varied, cleaning, gardening, setting the table for breakfast and dinner. The owners are British, who are amazing. I spent a lot of time with Sam, especially in interesting conversations about politics, economics and ecology. She cooks great, she showed me lots of amazing recipes. During the month I experienced the Tour de France, a flea market, a farmer's market, a concert at the castle, I tried paddleboarding and I met lots of great people, as well as the sweetest dog Noodle and the funniest chicken Miriam 🤩

I have been putting off writing this review, as I'm having a hard time finding the right words to explain how this experience has changed me. Sam and James live a truly beautiful and meaningful life in rural France, completely surrounded by nature. Sam is a true chef and former interior designer so you are spoiled with meals and a beautiful home to spend your time in. She is also an incredible artist and will teach you how to sew and share how she makes everything out of most things others would toss out. She's inspired me to live a more sustainable and creative lifestyle. (I hit word limit)!

This was my first volunteer experience. I felt very welcome from the very beginning, Samantha and James are wonderful hosts, so kind, attentive and always making sure we had everything we needed. The place is beautiful, surrounded by nature and countryside. I loved discovering this peaceful side of France. The tasks were quite simple, and as someone who loves being outdoors I so enjoyed them. We had the opportunity to meet Stuart, a friend of S&J, with whom we spent time during our stay and who also helped with other tasks. It was a wonderful experience, which S&J undoubtedly make even better!

This was our first Worldpackers experience, so we had no idea what to expect. Thankfully, Sam and James provided a lot of information on their profile, so we had a much better understanding of what our responsibilities would be than if we'd chosen a different experience. Sam and James were very warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, they didn't have a lot of guests while we were there, so we probably missed out on the full experience. We did get to help around the grounds, and it was satisfying to be able to see what we'd accomplished during the day. All in all, I'd recommend this experience.

Sorry that you weren't able to experience the guest house when it is completely full of cyclists. Unfortunately with world events what they are we have had to accept the situation for now. Sad that with your injured knee that you weren't able to do more cycling. But thanks again for your great work in the garden.

Es un lugar hermoso para conectar con la naturaleza en una villa francesa. Las tareas que realice fueron apoyar en el jardín, en las habitaciones tendí las camas, limpie el polvo y los muebles, pase la aspiradora, apoyen en la cocina, puse la mesa para las cenas y desayunos, serví y retire los platos a los huéspedes, puse el lavavajillas, saque el compost y apoye en la limpieza de la cocina. Sam y James fueron amables y nos llevaron algunos lugares para conocer, Sam cocina sabroso y comparte sus recetas. La habitación es muy cómoda y tiene lo necesario para estar bien.
